by Mike Andrew SGN Staff Writer A majority of Americans support the idea of adding new federal civil rights laws to protect LGBT people, according to a new Gallup poll.
When asked “Do you think new civil rights laws are needed to reduce discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender people, or not?” 53% of respondents said yes, as opposed to 46% who said no.

HRC releases sex discrimination report

by Mike Andrew SGN Staff Writer The Vatican has issued a new directive on Transgender people, accusing them of seeking to “annihilate the concept of nature.” The Vatican describes the document,
titled “Male and Female He Created Them,” as an educational tool for teachers and parents. The 31-page report also encourages doctors to “intervene” on people born intersex, even without parental consent.

WASHINGTON, DC (June 13, 2019) – Today, the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the nation’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) civil rights organization, published its “Inclusive Interpretations of Sex Discrimination Law,” a report that outlines how
federal courts have developed a consistent legal narrative regarding discrimination against LGBTQ people as constituting unlawful sex discrimination under our nation’s civil rights laws.
