WASHINGTON, DC – Today [Monday, October 30], the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia ruled in favor of the plaintiffs and enjoined the transgender military ban, the discriminatory policy challenged in Doe v. Trump, the first case filed
against President Trump’s transgender military ban. The National Center for Lesbian Rights (NCLR) and GLBTQ Legal Advocates & Defenders (GLAD, co-counsel in the case, issued the following statement:

The Honorable Eric H. Holder Jr., the 82nd attorney general of the United States, accepted the Spirit of Justice Award in Boston Friday night [October 27], urging the crowd of 1,000 advocates for LGBTQ equality to “keep standing up, keep speaking out, keep resisting.”
