Sher Baljit Singh President Singapore Cricket Club I am honoured to welcome all participating players, sponsors and supporters to Singapore Cricket Club’s International Rugby 7s Tournament 2017, 70th edition. Celebrating 70 years of world-class rugby action is no easy feat and this signature tournament has become an integral part of the rugby scene in Singapore. With so many outstanding teams gracing the Padang every year, it is a perfect avenue to fuel the passion for the sport and further develop it on our home ground. Spectators and competitors can expect an action-packed weekend of world-class rugby action at one of Asia’s premier sports and social clubs. Apart from the sporting spectacular happening on the field, all are welcome to enjoy an excellent selection of food and beverages available over the weekend. I sincerely thank all of our distinguished sponsors who have given us their invaluable support over the years and have made it possible for the tournament to serve as a competitive training platform for all players. I would also like to extend my thanks to the Rugby 7s organising committee as well as the SCC Management who have worked tirelessly to pull together this marquee event.
