Ä°FORWARD! I want to thank you for your patience as we upgrade and do much needed maintenance to our facilities. The Genoveva Chavez Community, Salvador Perez, Fort Marcy, Bicentennial Pool, and the Municipal Recreational Complex are working through construction upgrades on various amenities and for infrastructure as well. The Fort Marcy Pool dehumidification and HVAC unit has exceeded its life expectancy. The Fort Marcy project is almost $700,000 of repairs. Construction phases at the Fort Marcy Complex have been funded separately which is why closures and completions are in staggered phases. The GCCC Pool repair project has been put off as long as possible with reported issues since 2013. The Genoveva Chavez Center will be upgrading major infrastructure such as RTUs and HVUs. The parking lot was recently repaved and looks great! We thank you for your patience as we complete the projects. We look forward to the projects being finished in early January and for all of our patrons to be able to enjoy the facility. We recently consolidated our Recreation websites. So now there is a one stop shop where you can visit all recreational centers including Ft. Marcy, Salvador Perez, Bicentennial Pool, Marty Sanchez Links de Santa Fe, and The Genoveva Chavez Community Center. Please look for the grand re-opening of Salvador Perez Recreational center and in spring of 2020 the iconic Genoveva Chavez Community celebrates 20 years.
