MISSION STATEMENT

St. Francis High School is a Catholic, college preparatory learning community that promotes spiritual, academic, physical, and social development in the daily presence of Jesus Christ.

SCHOOL INFORMATION & ACCREDITATION

St. Francis High School is a private, co-educational school that opened in 1957. St. Francis High School has earned accreditation by Cognia and Full Recognition by the Illinois State Board of Education. The school is also a member of the National Catholic Education Association and the Illinois High School Association. St. Francis High School has a total student population of 700 for the 2021-2022 school year in grades 9-12 from over 100 public and private partner schools. There are 180 seniors in the Class of 2022.

GENERAL ACADEMIC INFORMATION

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS St. Francis High School requires twenty-five credits as the minimum for graduation. Most St. Francis High School students graduate with four years of English, Mathematics, Science, and World Language. All courses required for graduation must be taken at St. Francis High School (or a recognized high school in event of a transfer). Christian Service Hours: All students are required to complete 15 hours of service/year; a total of 60 hours by the end of senior year. GRADING SCALE St. Francis High School uses number grades for each marking period. Number grades are assigned from 65-99 converted by computer to a 4.0 system. Advanced Placement® (AP®) and Honors courses earn a weight of 1.00 per year.

HONOR ROLL Honor Roll is computed on the basis of courses taken at St. Francis High School.
