Bev Phillips Living Between Once-Upon-A-Time and Happily-EverAfter: God's Sovereignty in Difficult Times Often when we begin a relationship with Jesus, it feels like the sweet beginning of a wonderful story that will continue until the happilyever-after of heaven. What happens when there are big bumps or deep valleys along the way? Difficulties such as marriage, finances, cross-country relocations, miscarriages, prodigals, cancer, and aging? Can we see His presence actively woven throughout each event and season? Let’s examine how God is our burden bearer, provider, supporter, sustainer, and helper as He authors our life stories. He answers the question of “who’s in charge here?” while giving practical help and encouragement during the “in-between” times.
Bev Phillips and her husband have 9 adult children, 14 grandchildren,

and have been foster parents to 10. They are certified presenters of Courageous Grandparenting conferences She is on the writing team for Christian Grandparenting Network and speaks at retreats, MOPS, and other groups. She served as Care Ministry Director for Lakes Free Church for 15 years and has a B.S. in Family & Child Development and an M.A. in Human Services, Marriage, & Family. Bev is passionate about being a life-long learner of God’s Word and finding joy in the midst of hard things.
