Newsletter
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE I hope you all enjoyed the fantastic Primary Christmas performance, the Carol concert last evening and the Foundation concerts too. What talented and enthusiastic students SES has! Thank you to everyone who took part and helped to make the start of the festive season a really good one. Thanks also to all the staff and helpers who support these and to all of you who came to watch and listen. We cannot forget the hard work, and efforts that go into these performances and special thanks must go to Eileen Hutchison, Laurence Powell and Nasrine Davies. The school has been a hive of activity including normal lessons, and will be until we close on Thursday at 12.00 noon. We pass on our thanks to Dr Wood who leaves us this week and wish him well for his future I hope you will have a good break too over the next few weeks. We are definitely ready for one here; in spite of the two Eid breaks, it has been a long term. May I take this opportunity to thank all those who have sent cards and good wishes and to wish everyone a Merry Christmas st and a good break. We have Islamic New Year this Friday, and New Year on January 1 and I hope that these bring you health and happiness. For our students, I wish them some rest over the break, but for some who need to do some hard work, I remind them that mock examinations and GCE external examinations commence very soon after our return. Mr David Main and Miss Shereen Razvi will be joining the Science department in January. New Chairman; John Farrer, the Board Chairman over the past few years, has retired to the UK. We thank him for his dedication and commitment to SES and wish him well for the future. Steve Thompson is the new Board Chairman. We look forward to his term as Chair and assure him of our full support. Merry Christmas, winter break and New Year to everyone, and thank you all for the support you have given the school this term.
