Who We Are
About us.
Sertus was formerly part of the Whitesales Group, a construction supplies company founded in the mid-1980s by Michael White.
During the 2000s, we saw an opportunity to broaden our range of products to help drive positive change in the smoke ventilation area of fire safety.
We’re now an independent company, wholly focused on smoke ventilation and access products.
Timeline.
1983 Michael White formed Whitesales.
2013 Whitesales are the first company in the UK to receive CE certification for smoke vents.
2019 Sertus is formed as a standalone smoke ventilation company, selling whole system solutions.
2021 Sertus stopped contracting, working instead with partner installation contractors.
2023 Sertus realigned focus to customers and products, instead of partners and projects.

A louvred smoke vent, mounted on roofs. Designed to exhaust smoke and heat from a building, allowing low level escape routes to be kept clear of smoke.

Ventilation Collar (RVC-R)
Overview
An environmental ventilation collar designed to be installed below any smoke and heat ventilation unit. It enables the environmental ventilation to operate in any weather.
Features

Overview
Manufactured by Keylite, and principally designed for smoke and heat ventilation in protected stairwells and corridors within residential apartments.

The refurbishment of all seven apartment blocks within a 1970s building, where the existing ventilation was identified as less than optimal. Occupied by demographically-diverse residents, including families and the elderly, the requirement for safe escape routes in the event of a fire was clear.
Outcome
The addition of Sertus façade windows improved overall quality of life in the building by introducing more natural light, increasing ventilation, and reducing energy costs.
