(Marianista) Biografía: Nació el 9 de enero de 1930 en Old Monroe, Missouri, USA. Hizo primera profesión de votos en la Compañía de María el 15 de agosto de 1948. Es licenciado en Educación de la University of Dayton (Ohio). Maestro de religión, inglés y latín en St. Louis, Missouri. De 1956 a 1961 cursó estudios de filosofía y teología en el seminario de Friburgo, Suiza. En 1964 obtuvo la Maestría en psicología por la Loyola University, Chicago, Illinois. Además de la docencia ha sido Capellán en diversas escuelas y de los Profesos temporales de su Congregación y otros ministerios: Asistente Provincial de Vida Religiosa de la Provincia de St. Louis de los Marianistas; Director de Escolásticos en San Antonio, Texas; Formación religiosa y pastoral vocacional de la Provincia de St. Louis; Asistente General de Vida Religiosa de la Compañía de María, Roma, Italia; Formación religiosa de candidatos a la Compañía de María y ministerio sacerdotal en Querétaro, México. Del 2011 a la fecha es Capellán de la comunidad religiosa marianista y ministerio sacerdotal en Puebla, México. De 1971 a 1979 fue Superior Provincial de la Provincia de St. Louis de la Compañía de María; y de 1991 a 1996: Superior General de la Compañía de María, Roma, Italia.
Biography: Fr. Quentin Hakenewerth was born on January 9, 1930 in Old Monroe, Missouri, USA. He entered the Society of Mary and made his first profession of vows on August 15, 1948. From 1956 to 1961 he studied philosophy and theology at the Seminary of Freiburg, Switzerland. In 1964 he received a master’s degree in Psychology from Loyola University, Chicago, Illinois. He has a degree in Education from the University of Dayton (Ohio). He is teacher of Religion, English and Latin in St. Louis, Missouri. In addition to teaching, he has been chaplain not only of different schools, but also of the temporary professed in his Congregation. He has been served other ministries: Provincial Assistant of Religious Life at the Province of the Marianists in St. Louis, Director of Scholastics in San Antonio (Texas), Responsible for Religious Formation and Vocations Ministry at the Province of St. Louis, General Assistant of Religious Life of the Company of Mary in Rome (Italy), Responsible for Religious Formation of candidates to the Company of Mary and Priestly Ministry in Queretaro, Mexico. Since 2011 he is Chaplain of the Marianist religious community and priestly ministry in Puebla, Mexico. From 1971 to 1979 he was Provincial Superior of the St. Louis Province of the Company of Mary, and from 1991 to 1996 he was Superior General of the Society of Mary in Rome.
