As a upcoming graphic designer , I prefer to envision my designs as a project and not so much as an idea or task. I aim to meet a goal that will inspire clients to sell their dream in the best way possible through my designs . My graphic design works generally consist of designs that involve an exploration of typography, illustrations, and a unique yet simple color pallet. Throughout my design process and within each project, I sought to use different design techniques such as typography, alignment, placement, balance and colors that complement one another. Not only do I believe following design principles makes successful branding but also these principles are my guide to experimentations and revisions. My overall goal is to gain knowledge and more understanding on creativity as it is a broad subject. I plan to implement my creative ideas to create something meaningful, unique and innovative and enjoyable for all demographics.
"The work needs to get out of your head and on to the table, and it needs to be done from the heart." ~ Paula Scher.

For my course on packaging, I was challenged with designing a rebrand for a band aid box. As part of my design process, I chose to develop the brand and packaging for a specific demographic whilst also staying with a very similar yet dull color pallet as my other designs. My target audience was aimed towards men in the army who wanted to use these band-aids either as a symbol or as fun, however this band-aids could also be used for smaller children who enjoy warlike adventures.
As part of my challenge on designing a band aid, I also incorporated the packaging for an antibiotic ointment . I chose to develop this specific brand because I wanted to incorporate a type of cream that went well with the design of the band aid.
For my graduation project, I spent 4 weeks developing branding for a fictional company that I created titled Perfect Pair. Perfect Pair is a nicely designed glasses repair kit. The brand packaging will a toolbox along with a cloth, a book manual and a spray cleaning solution. As a designer, I sought to make the packaging eye catching, appealing and accessible to all demographics.
Clever Vitamin Juicery is a fictional company that provides home-made, health-conscious juices and immunity shots in a can to help individuals of all ages be their best self. Within the packaging of Clever Vitamin, I incorporated a menu card that showcases the different wellness shots offered, and the many flavors that we have. Though fictional, I wanted the company to feel as though this is a self-made company and brand that is starting from the ground up. I also sought to incorporate business cards and also a mockup of the flavors that are available. In addition, I figured why not advertise this small brand on a social media platform to get more noticed.
To learn more about branding application in packaging, I challenged myself to design a restaurant that is ideally meant to target individuals of all demographics. My goal was to create a memorable set of packaging for this specific brand that is recognizable yet unique. I figured by incorporating items within my logo, both children and adults will remember and enjoy the entirety of the brand.
To understand more about the process of book design, I was challenged with redesigning the cover of the classic series
”The Southern Vampire Mysteries" by Charlaine Harris. I decided to create a narrative on the cover that tells the story without being stereotypical to other versions of the book. I then incorporated a few other elements from the story such as the bats, a small grassland , and a somewhat mysterious background that would suggest horror. I sought to use a dark purple and red color pallet to not only keep the authors similar color pallet but to give a sense of mystery and horror. I also incorporated silhouette and not real life objects to show a dark and compelling theme.
