Frequently Asked Questions:

How do I make programming changes?

There is a built-in web server inside the SensaVIDEO. Just connect it to your local computer network and browse to its webpage for all of your configuration settings. And if you leave it connected to your computer network, you can use it for status verification remotely.

What if I only use IP cameras? What can I monitor with it?

Almost anything. If a sensor exists for a particular condition, then you can monitor it with SensaVIDEO.

Do I have to use your sensors?

No. The sensor inputs on the SensaVIDEO product are designed to accept any third party sensor that uses the 4-20mA signal format. This opens up the possibilities for many conditions, like tank levels, flow rates, pressures, equipment failure, and much more.

What if I need more than 4 sensors?

The SensaVIDEO product can monitor four hard wired sensors and bring them into one camera input on your DVR. You can have more than one SensaVIDEO system connected into your DVR as long as you have room for more camera inputs.

How will I know when a sensed value goes out of range? If your DVR supports motion alarms, then you can configure the SensaVIDEO image to create motion in a specific area when alarm thresholds are met. Independent of that, the SensaVIDEO can send e-mail alarms and text message alarms if connected to your computer network.

There will be another version of the SensaVIDEO product available soon that generates streaming IP video that will work with your IP video system.

How is it powered?

It uses a standard 12VDC connection just like most security cameras.

Does it support both NTSC and PAL? Yes, it can be configured for either format.

Who is behind SensaVIDEO?

The SensaVIDEO product is manufactured by Sensaphone Remote Monitoring Solutions. Sensaphone has been manufacturing standalone remote monitoring products for a variety of industries for 25 years with over 300,000 systems installed. And all products are made right here in the USA.
