COMEDIAN LEWIS BLACK, SINGER SHEENA EASTON COMING TO SENECA CASINOS THIS FALL NIAGARA FALLS and SALAMANCA, N.Y. – Two additional renowned entertainers will appear at the Seneca Resorts & Casinos this fall. Comedian and social critic Lewis Black will take the stage at Seneca Allegany Events Center in Salamanca on Saturday, Oct. 18, and singer/actress Sheena Easton will perform at the Bear’s Den Showroom in Niagara Falls on Saturday, Sept. 27. Lewis Black, known for his famous and humorous rants about social issues, will deliver a gut-busting evening of stand-up comedy this October in Salamanca, N.Y. Tickets for the upcoming performance on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. start at $25 and go on sale Monday, July 28 at noon. Black, who also is an author, playwright and actor, portrays a distinctive angry face upon discussing topics such as history, politics, religion, trends and cultural phenomena. He hosted the Comedy Central series “Lewis Black’s Root of All Evil” and makes regular appearances on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” delivering his “Back in Black” commentary segment. Black has achieved five Grammy Award nominations throughout his career, winning twice for Best Comedy Album. He also received an Emmy nomination for the HBO special, “Lewis Black: Red, White and Screwed,” and won a Sports Emmy for his work on the show “Inside the NFL.” His Jan. 26, 2013 show at Seneca Niagara Events Center in Niagara Falls sold out in just a few weeks.

A slew of 1980s pop/dance hits will fill the intimate 440-seat Bear’s Den Showroom in Niagara Falls on Saturday, Sept. 27, as Scottish singer-songwriter Sheena Easton provides an evening of high-energy entertainment. Tickets for the performance start at $35 and are on sale now. Easton scored No. 1 hits on a variety of Billboard charts throughout the 1980s with the songs “9 to 5 (Morning Train),” “We’ve Got Tonight” (country duet with Kenny Rogers) and “The Lover in Me.” Other notable songs include “U Got the Look” with Prince and “For Your Eyes Only,” the theme song for the James Bond movie of the same name. Easton won a Grammy Award in 1981 for Best New Artist and another award in 1985 for Best Mexican-American Performance for a duet with Luis Miguel. In 1985, she became the first artist to have Top Five records on five different Billboard charts. Easton also starred in the Broadway musicals “Man of La Mancha” and “Grease” during the 1990s, and provided voiceovers for a variety of animated movies in the 2000s. CANCELLATION NOTE: Earlier in July, Seneca Casinos announced Pete Best, The Beatles’ first drummer, for a performance at the Bear’s Den Showroom on Friday, Oct. 24. This show is now cancelled due to scheduling conflicts. Tickets had not yet gone on sale prior to the cancellation. Tickets for all shows will be available at Seneca Casino box offices, Ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster locations or by phone at 800-745-3000.
