THE WESTERN DOOR SET TO REOPEN AT SENECA NIAGARA RESORT & CASINO AFTER STUNNING $5 MILLION RENOVATION Award-winning steakhouse features new bistro, expanded seating NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. – Today is the day diners throughout the region have been waiting for. Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino will officially unveil the magnificently reinvented Western Door Steakhouse this evening, opening for business at 5 p.m. The award-winning steakhouse had been closed since February, undergoing a complete $5 million renovation. “This has been worth the wait,” said Audrey Oswell, chief operating officer, Seneca Gaming Corporation. “Quite simply, the Western Door stands with the best steakhouses in the country. Guests are going to be amazed by how we have elevated the entire dining experience, from the atmosphere and décor to the food and service.” Along with its new look, the Western Door is also introducing new menu items, such as mouthwatering smoked salmon and blackened scallops from its seafood counter, new steak selections including a 12-ounce New York Strip of wagyu beef, a 16-ounce bone-in strip of Prime Beef and 20-ounce bone-in Ribeye of prime beef, a cavatelli entrée, among others, a decadent dessert menu, as well as a wide selection of signature cocktails. The new items join the outstanding steaks, chops, seafood and unsurpassed service that have made The Western Door one of the region’s finest restaurants. The steakhouse has won multiple awards over the years, including being voted as Western New York’s “Best Steakhouse” by Buffalo Spree magazine, the Certificate of Excellence Award from TripAdvisor, and multiple other local, regional and national designations.
Along with the main restaurant, the redesign features a new bistro area at the front of the restaurant, with a larger bar area and expanded seating. The bistro offers its own custom menu, including signature appetizers and sandwiches, along with expanded hours, allowing guests to gather and enjoy cocktails and lighter fare from the Western Door’s sensational culinary team. The Western Door is open seven days a week. The restaurant operates from 5 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and from 5 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
