LADIES RULE AT SENECA NIAGARA CASINO: ARETHA FRANKLIN, LISA LAMPANELLI HEADLINE SHOWS SALAMANCA, NY – Two strong women with powerful voices will deliver unforgettable performances in late winter at Seneca Niagara Events Center. Seneca Casinos welcomes the return of Aretha Franklin – a true living legend of R&B and soul, as well as the return of Lisa Lampanelli – one of the ultimate “equal-opportunity-offender” comedians. The “Queen of Soul,” Aretha Franklin, returns to Seneca Niagara Events Center for an 8 p.m. show on Saturday, Mar. 2. Franklin is a frequent guest of Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel, and made Seneca Niagara Events Center one of her first stops on her 2011 comeback tour. She has inspired and influenced generations of singers with hits like “Respect,” “Chain of Fools” and “Think,” and continues to deliver notes with incredible power and depth. Tickets start at $65 and go on sale Monday, Dec. 10, at noon. The self-proclaimed “insult comic,” Lisa Lampanelli, kicked off 2012 with a sold-out, memorable show inside Seneca Niagara Events Center and returns in 2013 for another adults-only round of no-holds-barred jokes on Friday, Feb. 22, at 8 p.m. Fellow comedian Carlos Mencia succinctly describes her: “Every generation has a female comic that destroys the conventional wisdom that only men can be raunchy and funny. Lisa Lampanelli is this generation’s choice.” Since her last performance at Seneca Niagara, Lampanelli starred in the fifth season of the hit television show “The Celebrity Apprentice” on NBC and is gearing up for an upcoming one-woman show on Broadway called, “Bring Back the Fat Chick.” Tickets for her performance at Seneca Niagara start at $30 and are on sale now.
