About the artist
Serafim S. Yssolo, a self-taught Angolan visual artist, was born on September 17, 1992, in Moxico, and is a member of UNAP (União Nacional dos Artistas Plásticos). Formerly known as Serafim Serlon, since 2021 he has adopted the stage name of Serafim Yssolo.
Statement
His artistic creation process seeks a distinct style, based on the appropriation of images created by him, through various photographic models, with the woman being the focus of the even. Yssolo at life as a constant learning process, and at Art as a sacred gateway to the Divine, a philosophy that he tries to pass on in his works. This is how he does his work, with his artistic streak, he conveys facts about himself, letting the moment guide him. He carries versatility in his self-taught, doesn't get caught up in techniques, and does what his artistic census asks. The purpose of his work is to discuss the importance of freedom of self-knowledge and the relationship between man and himself.
