Duncan Campbell ’69 has resumed his old job as interim director-general for the City of Westmount, a position he held from 2008 to 2014. “The incumbent was off on indefinite medical leave and Mayor Smith needed some reinforcements to help out the city, says Duncan. “It was not planned at all, and COVID made getting back a little more difficult. However, many things remain the same so it is like I never left!” For more details about Duncan’s new old job, check out the June 8 issue of the Westmount Independent.

Over the Feb. 13-14 weekend, the ski trails around Orford were filled with Gryphons, as members of the

Delplace and Aitken families repeated their annual feat of competing in the Canadian Ski Marathon. From the Delplace family, Oliver 2022, Alexis 2020 and father Marc ’81 completed their Gold Coureur de Bois at the Marathon. At the same time, Angus Aitken 2017 and his dad, Ian ’81, were also on the Orford trails winning their gold medals once again. This year, for the first time, the marathon was a virtual event, with competitions being held at various locations between Feb. 6 and March 2. In Orford, each competitor skied 100 km over two days in Orford Parc and slept under the stars on Saturday night. “Oliver skied it in three hours and 42 minutes!”” says his father, Marc.
