Environment Week – Store Litter Picks
We would love all colleagues to get involved in doing a community litter pick during AFB’s Environment Week
Here is a short guide on how to get involved:
Choose a location – this can be a local park, a residential street or even around your store or place of work.
Carry out a risk assessment – please follow this link/QR code to carry out your risk assessment via Microsoft Forms. You will be able to use your store tablet to do this and may need to sign in using the store Microsoft 365 account. https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx? id=kkkZppdnK0ywT9YzTNXSimP4P51irxZAj29k5cf9A7BUMlUzS1IyMTlPOEYzTk1KQUl KSEJDRjFDOCQlQCN0PWcu

Decide on a day and rally your team – stores are more than welcome to choose a day that best suits them (with line manager approval) throughout July.
Gather your equipment – all colleagues should be armed with a hi vis vest, sensible clothing and footwear, a litter picker, and bags to collect the litter. If you are missing any equipment, please contact your line manager to authorise sourcing more or contact the RBP Team.
Complete the litter pick – and log how many bags of litter you have collected. You will need this later when logging your volunteer hours.
Dispose of litter responsibly – please use recycling facilities where possible to dispose of the litter collected.
Log your volunteering hours – we want to know how many hours you have spent helping to clean up your local community.
We would love to see your photos, so please send them in to RBP@afblakemore.co.uk and you could be showcased on our AFB Life channels!
If you have any questions, please contact the Responsible Business Team on RBP@afblakemore.co.uk who will be happy to help!
