Interdisciplinary collaboration to shape the ‘Workplace of Tomorrow’. Our team, comprised of interior and industrial designers, merged individual ideas into a cohesive design aimed at enhancing workplace functionality and employee well-being. Also collaborating with graphic designers, we crafted brand packages to maintain a cohesive brand identity across the space. Ultimately, our project demonstrated the practical application of interdisciplinary principles in creating a forward-thinking workplace.
Focusing on nature’s persistence against forces like global warming and on the social impacts of climate change, specifically inequality and social hierarchies. Using the power of connection to combat these symptoms. We are using petri dishes for inspiration and contrasting the sterile environment, with mold’s colorful appearance, growth, and intelligence.

Assisted living facilities are designed to meet various personal and medical care needs, such as medication assistance, daily living support, and companionship. These spaces offer private suites, shared amenities, and aim to promote independence while ensuring a secure and optimistic environment for residents and their families
An assisted living facility should be an environment that encourages a feeling of belonging within a diverse population of residents. Meeting not only their physical needs but also nourishing their mental well-being by fostering cultural expression. To achieve this we will focus on inclusivity, safety, and overall resident-centered care to cultivate a community within our spaces.
AMA Plaza, Chicago, IL
Site Roots Residence will be an assisted living facility on the 2nd - 6th floors of the AMA plaza. The AMA Plaza is an iconic example of the International Style of architecture, showcasing functionalism and structural expression.
Approximately 18% of Chicago’s overall population consists of immigrants, with the predominant influx originating from Mexico, Korea, and the Philippines. Among these immigrants are individuals facing language barriers, having previously resided in smaller communities. Mental health challenges often arise due to limited social support and past traumatic experiences associated with immigration.

Our community mirrors a Jenga block, where each part is essential to the whole. Removing a single block would cause the entire tower to collapse. In planning, this involves accommodating all occupants—residents, staff, and families—in private and public spaces within the building.

This project aims to design a retail store for downtown Ames, Iowa. The shop will be in an existing space on the ground floor. With my partner, we were able to select the type of establishment we will design for, but the retailer must be a small, independent business. The selected retailer should also be a business we believe is viable in the Ames community.
