in SPH Lippo Village Dear Parents and Friends, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." (Jeremiah 29:11)
We certainly did not anticipate two years of disruption, and know many industries and businesses are hoping and praying to back to normal soon, we know that God is sovereign. Amid difficulties and new challenges, He is faithful.
March 21, almost two years to the date when Home Learning first started, students and teachers had our first ‘normal’ week of school! It was great having students attending classes a full day for the whole week. Wow, it has been a long time! It was wonderful to hear students playing on the playgrounds, in the canteens, saying hello in the hallways before or after school and between classes.
I want to express a sincere thank you to our teachers, for your diligent work and the many hours of extra preparation and planning as you adapted lessons for the various settings so that our students didn’t miss a beat! We are thankful to the Lord for your faithfulness to SPH and your labor to honor Christ.
Over the past several months, teachers and students learned how to learn in new ways. We certainly prefer face-to-face learning and are very thankful to have students back fulltime. God has been faithful and allowed significant growth and continued education during home learning, hybrid, and now back to full in person.
Because He is faithful, Gregg Thompson Head of School SPH Lippo Village
