The article "Me, the Euro" has emerged during the Slovenia's adoption of the Euro currency.
The story is writen in such a manner as if it would be spoken directly by Primož Trubar (an author of the first Slovenian alphabet), a figure that is shaped on the Slovenian 1-Euro coin. Throughout his story my objective had been to present "the Euro" as a unique symbol and a token of a common European identity and consciousness. The symbol strives to overcome national, racial, religious and language barriers that had for so many years divided people of Europe, setting them onto different sides of the Iron curtain. And existing in a hope that as different euro coins with the same value mix with each other in the wallet, one day the Europeans will do the same without the prejudice and thus finding the same value in each other- in the wallet called the Europe.
