Slopestyle is a winter sport in which athletes run down a course of a variety of obstacles including rails, jumps and other terrain park features with skis or the snowboard. The first Slopestyle events were just about 15 years ago and it became an Olympic event at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.

How do you win a Slopestyle Contest? Slopestyle events consist of two qualification runs, where the best run counts. The best 8 or 16 riders are taken to the final. A panel of 3 to 5 judges score each rider based on: —Flow (fluidity of line choice, execution of maneuver, landing and movement through course) —Creativity (creative and artistic use of the course) —Technical difficulty (difficulty and execution of performance) —Style (hardest but most important to describe)
