About us
Sustainable Energies For Aprica (SEFA) was founded in 2021 with the aim to support the transition towards electromobility and renewable energy in the Indo-oceanic and African regions. SEFA’s vision is to contribute to the development of clean, quiet and energy-efficient places. The substantial shift towards electromobility requires proper smart infrastructure and right policy frameworks. We aim to develop charging infrastructures, educate communities and contribute to EV frameworks by working together with electromobility associations and key players in the industry.

The SEFA team is composed of professionals from architectural, engineering, financial and communication backgrounds and work closely with European manufacturers and local professionals to ensure a quality service.

Develop charging infrastructure
As official distributors of smart EV chargers, we distribute and install chargers for both businesses and individuals.
Educate & create awareness Consultancy & planning

Work closely with media organisations to create awareness and benefits of electromobility and educate on charging infrastructures.
We offer guidance on strategic planning to organisations interested in adopting EV.

Commercial & business charging solutions
The adoption of electromobility is essential in workplaces to show the dedication towards environment protection and building resilience towards climate change. It also makes EV charging easy for employees who do not have adequate charging infrastructure at their residential places. 40% of smart chargers installed by SEFA in 2022 were for businesses and workplaces.

Residential Charging solutions
Charging infrastructures in residential places are essential for EV adoption. Around 70% of charging sessions take place at home. Smart chargers at home help to manage cost, are more reliable and give easy access for charging. 60% of chargers installed by SEFA last year were at individual homes.

Education & awareness
A global study indicated that 40% of participants did not know the full benefits of electromobility. It is part of SEFA’s mission to educate the public and raise awareness about the financial and environmental benefits when adopting electromobility. Since 2022, SEFA has been working with media organisers in various events and publishing on social media to educate the public and create awareness.

In Janurary 2024, SEFA organised its first public workshop deidcated to educating the public on the basics of EV. The main objective of the workshop was to engage with existing, new and prospective EV owners about the transition to EV together with key players in the EV field, such banks, local authorities providing incentives, car dealers and renewable energy suppliers.
