11 FREE Ready-to-Teach Science of Reading Aligned Lessons

The Seesaw Early Literacy curriculum provides an evidence-based approach that makes literacy learning both engaging and effective. We combined the principles of Science of Reading with the interactive teaching & learning tools in the Seesaw platform to create an evidence-based curriculum to transform early literacy instruction. In this guide, you’ll find 11 free Ready-to-Teach lessons from the Seesaw Early Literacy curriculum.
The Science of Reading represents a systematic approach to literacy instruction. It goes beyond traditional teaching methods by focusing on explicit, structured learning that helps children develop foundational reading skills. While this body of research continues to grow, Science of Reading identifies several key areas that, when explicitly and systematically taught, can support students as they develop these 5 essential literacy skills: phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension.
Seesaw has carefully crafted its curriculum to align with these principles. Developed in collaboration with industry learning experts and aligned with existing standards and curricula, the Seesaw Early Literacy program supports educators in delivering high-quality literacy instruction with ease.
