2014 truly was a record year for SEED, a year where the SEED Awards became one of the biggest awards scheme for social and environmental enterprises worldwide, awarding 41 new SEED Winners - remarkable eco-enterprises that achieve significant impact at the grassroots. Almost 350 people were trained on eco-entrepreneurship in the follow-up SEED Support this year. In addition to this direct support, 2014 also saw a massive expansion of SEED's effort in promoting an enabling environment for social and envionmental entrepreneurship as 50 people participated in training of trainers sessions built around a newly developed SEED BDS+ methodology and more than 600 entrepreneurs, policy makers, businesses, civil society and support institutions from over 30 countries came together at SEED events.
