Welcome to the July edition of DW4U, a little giftbox containing unimaginable ammounts of information, brought to you by See-Saw Panamby’s renown journalists and editing team.

This is the edition of tolerance . Amid the recent turmoils around the world it was difficult to find balance between what we like to read and what must be addressed as journalism.

The immigration crisis in Europe and its slash back in Brazil while our own community suffers from na ongoing crisis, a reflection of our fears and concern made a huge mark on this issue of our publication. Therefore, as members of press we feel the duty of bringing you our findings along with questions that can only be answered with your own perspective of these matters while our hearts beat on the same tune: us as humans.

However, not all is gray and dark. We couldn´t let our Beliebers down and so of course Justin is here to bring you some sunshine. Along with Selena, Demi and many others popping out of your TV set.

This is the edition in which pages are filled with crunchy cream chocolate and a little Japanese flavor , a hint of a brazilian natural wonder called Açai not leaving behind those who practice rad sports. Most of all, these pages are the proof that with group effort we can go miles and we can change millions. Here we bring you the spark and we welcome you to let your fire burn.

Immigration to Europe increased a lot in the later 20th century.

Most European countries are becoming more multicultural due to the immigration.

Immigration is the movement of people into a country that they are not natives of or where they don’t possess citizenship.

Immigration to Europe is a actual and very sad problem.

Many countries are suffering of super population due to the immigration. In 2013 the United Nations estimated that there were around 232 million immigrants in the world.

Immigration started with prehumans and now the humans are threatening the E.U. The European Union is with fear due to the over population. Many countries are closing their borders or putting Police at the borders.

Frans Timmermans, the vice president of the European Comission said:

The country that had most immigrants fleeing to Europe is Syria. Four million people, nearly a fifth of Syria’s population have decided to set out on the dangerous and uncertain journey for a better life in Europe. Syrians are fleeing away of their countries because Bashar Al-Assad’s regime has targeted civilians ruthlessly, including with chemical weapons and barrel bombs; ISIS has subjected Syrians to murder, torture, crucifixion, sexual slavery etc.

Other groups such as Jabhat AlNusra have tortured and killed Syrians as well.

Many immigrants are entering ilegally in Europe, because of that, countries closed their borders.

For example, Hungary built a wire fence along its border with Serbia and new laws were announced. Damage or cross the fence is a crime and they could be punished by up to three years in prison.

Immigrants in Europe reach its highest number since the 20th century.

Europe’s history was shaped by migration. For centuries, lots of people crossed the continent to practice their trades or start new lives. Today, Europe faces a new crisis: What to do with immigrants.

Millions of people emigrated from Europe, first to the colonies and later to the Americas. With a long history of forced migration: from the expulsion of the Jews from Spain to the population shifts in southeast Europe caused by the many wars between the Russian, Austro-Hungarian and Ottoman empires, it was no surprise that the world was expecting a proper closure to the immigration crisis faced by Germany and many other countries.

Many people have moved to Europe, sometimes it is because of studying, or maybe living conditions or job offers.

There are the refugees; the refugees are the people that migrate in an illegal way.

Sometimes they do not have money or they are running away from something, sometimes a war or even they could be running away from the police.

There are immigrants that migrate legally, normally by airplanes. The refugees, those

are illegal, in most cases, travel by land or by the ocean. Those who travel by land, normally go via Turkey or Albania. Since the start of 2016, over 135,711 people have immigrated to Europe. Because of the conflict in Syria, those people are mostly migrating to Europe.

Same as Afghanistan and Iraq that has a huge problem with violence the late 1980s, the number of people applying for asylum has increased sharply.

In 1984, there were only 104,000 applications in Western Europe. This figure grew to 692,000 in 1992 and then declined during much of the 1990s. Numbers grew again to 350,000 in 1998 and about 400,000 in 1999, although this year they have begun to fall away. This asylum has become one of the principal means of immigration into the Eritrea and Kosovo currently facing extreme poverty.

Syria´s war is well known around the world, the reason why it is happening is something ignored, and It’s killing millions of people and making it impossible to live there. More than 70 million people were killed. In 2010, Tunisia’s dictator was pushed down incentivizing many countries to do the same. Syria was one of them.

Syria endures the rules of Bashar Al-Assad since 2000, he was unfairly reelected several of times, and now people had enough of it.

It started as just protests but it evolved to a cruel civil war.

The EU leaders agreed to give “political support” for an action plan. Turkey is said to have offered Ankara up to €3bn , visa-free travel to Europe for 75 million Turks, the resumption of frozen negotiations on Turkey’s EU membership bid, and other freebies in what appeared to be a desperate attempt to gain Turkish cooperation.

The EU country that receives more asylum applications is Germany and is awaiting the arrival of some 800,000 refugees this year. Recent scans show thousands of people trying to reach Germany and other EU countries through Greece and the western Balkans. It is expected that about 3000 people cross the Macedonia every day in the coming months , according to the UN. The war in Syria shows no signs of ending.

return, Living as a refugee in neighboring countries is untenable for many refugees, who are not allowed to work and are sliding deeper into poverty. There is not enough international aid to help refugees in the region, Children are going too long without education.

I think we have to appeal to our human side , love thy neighbor , regardless of who he is and not be territorial, a primary feeling. Great leaders are getting involved providing humanitarian actions.

The whole world can help with the minimum possible , including prayers and material aid. Many people are stepping up to help the migrants. Some days ago, people themselves would go on streets to give migrants food and water.

As European frontiers close, the refugees need to find a place to live, a country that fit in their needs and expectation and that country is Brazil, where over 35.000 refugees have already found home. As Brazilians are a very receptive people, and nearly 204 million of them are descendants of African slaves, Syrians are easily blending into Brazilian population and culture.

"Brazil is a welcoming land" says Brazil's President Dilma Rousseff. It's true because the country continues welcoming Middle East refugees and continues to build shelters and providing food and shelter. The bureaucrats have been efficient in processing the refugee’s cases and it is surprising how fast refugees can start their new lives.

Most refugees prefer to work in jobs that require little communication. "Everything here is perfect, except for the jobs"

The majority of the Syrian immigrants arriving in Brazil, came without money or basic life supplies, but sooner than expected, have adapted to their new homes and jobs. Today, there are Syrian refugees that have their own businesses and even have jobs in the Brazilian government. There is no reason why immigrants cannot achieve the same success as Brazilian people. Sure, they will need help at first, but with the opportunities the country offers for them, they will surely retake their lives.

Immigrants Entering Europe´s Territory Syrians running from civil war are now entering Europe for better living conditions and safer areas.

In January of 2016 more than six million Syrian refugees were registered and confirmed, they have been migrating to different countries all around the world in search of better living conditions, all six million Syrians have been approved to be running from the current civil war in Syria in which they have to deal with.

Most of all the Syrians have been running to Europe because it is a close country and one of the safest location in which they can be provided by food, water, and most of all protection.

The Syrian refugees are part of Iraq and Sirias population, these Syrians are permanent residents of and born in Syria, they have been noticed to be fighting against this civil war since 2005.

Here is a quote from a person who is going through the civil war in Syria `We ask for humanity for people to treat us like human beings´ this quote was made by a women called Nada which is a Syrian refugee.

The vast majority of the immigrants

have made their way over to Syria by sea, but the rest of the immigrants have gone there by land, a much harder way to cross the country.

The conflict in Syria still, by far, the biggest driver of immigration to other countries, but the violence in Afghanistan and Iraq, as well as poverty in Kosovo, are also leading people to look for new identities elsewhere in the world. The IOM estimates that more than 1,011,700 people have migrates to Europe over sea in 2015, and almost approximately 34000 by land every 2 months.

The European countries that are the most affected counties in the situation are Hungary, Sweden and Austria which also had to relocate some refugees to other countries which are France, Germany and Spain with twenty to forty thousand refugees and immigrants being relocated to their position, and this has more to come with a bigger impact on other countries in the future.

Immigrants migrating by boats and small ships over the sea, and some crossing the country by routes, and roads, a much riskier and dangerous way to make it to Europe.

Public school children face really bad conditions and meals are a priority forgotten in Brazil.

Brazilian government is deviating the money that would be used for school lunch. With this, schools are not receiving enough money so they are having problems with the lack of school lunch or are offering what is now being called lunch no nutrients or anything a child needs to help its learning and development. Another problem is that food has been stored in places of questionable hygiene.

“The public ministry of São Paulo is investigating the participation of politicians in the scheme of deviating this money” Without school lunch kids cannot have the correct number of hours in school because they feel sick, so school hours have been reduced down to 3 hours.

As deputy teacher Dorinha mentions: “We need to establish a system of monitoring this money directed to school meal.

The company providing catering services to the state had discontinued the contract for not meeting the legal prerequisites. In present times more than 200 million kids don’t have anything to eat or any place to leave. It is very sad to realize that some of us have a lot of things like: food, a good place to sleep, mother, father, a family. This number means kids are not anorexic, its worse, because they want to eat and don’t have anything to eat. Not everyone has the time, resources, and access to buy and cook healthy food for their family.

And even if they do, there’s still the problem of getting kids to eat it.

A year ago, Fatouma would watch other children run to school while she stayed behind to care for her younger brothers and sister.

People suffering from chronic hunger show reoccurring illnesses, development disabilities and

low productivity. They are often forced to use all their limited physical and financial resources just to put food on the table for their family.

The highest number of mal-nurtured people, 553 million, live in Asia and the pacific, in countries like Indonesia and the Philippines. In sub Africa, 227 million people face hunger in arid countries like Ethiopia, Niger and Mali. And 47 million people in Latin America and the Caribbean, in places like Guatemala and Haiti, are struggling to find enough to eat. The majority of these hungry families live in rural areas where they widely depend on agriculture to survive. Half of the kids of the world don’t have any money to buy any kind of food and any place to leave or sleep.

In 2014, immigrants from Iraq wanted to leave their country because of a civil war, and the terrorists wouldn´t let them go.

Lots of people were killed. So the people started to escape from there and started to go to other countries but some countries blocked them from entering. In Iraq they are at war and killing a lot if innocent people and they want to dominate the world with their religion. if you don’t know their religion and sing a music of their religion they kill and if you know they kill you too.

Blocking immigrants from entering other countries is a bad thing but a good thing too, like innocent people is a good thing because they don’t have where to live and don’t have what to eat, but letting bad people to enter is a bad thing, for example the terrorists that are very bad people can explode everything, kill everyone and like you don’t know when they are terrorists and when they are good people, is not a bad thing but is not a good thing either.

Nevertheless, as she is unable to increase taxes, she gives herself the pleasure to throw onto our small table, a card that can mean great danger - Inflation.

People who are facing this economic downturn also have to deal with the fear of recession. A general feel of being left afloat the Brazilian nation seems to see congress falling into pieces. Although protests have

taken place to voice people´s fears, little has been done to give back to people the feeling of assurance.

What does the future hold?

What could the Congress do? Well, this dysfunctional moment is a forecast of a darker Brazil and a sinking boat that president Dilma can´t seem to save. By seeing a close shore and trying to swim its way out of the crisis, Brazilian government may be surprised by the strength necessary to survive and find safer lands.

Brazil is facing an economic crisis as bad as in 1930’s. Economy may be more diverse; however, inflation has been deteriorating the golden era of the country. Will Brazil be able to recover this time?

Sayuri, 13 is a student of SeeSaw Panamby and is currently evaluating Brazil’s economic crisis.

Brazil’s economy has been compared to the United States’ Great Depression. The signs are not good. People are unemployed because many companies have been dismissing their employees. There is no sight of end to this crisis.

President Dilma Rousseff has been, making overtures to reforming public pensions by increasing retirement age, but has not mentioned anything about inflation. However, she has spoken about releasing loans to sectors of economy from public banks; though that would require a great reduction in

interest rates, inflation will quickly find its course.

“The economic, political and fiscal outlooks in Brazil have deteriorated significantly in the past few months.” says Barclay’s Capital analysts Bruno Rovai.

Higher interests rates worsen Brazil’s fiscal accounts. Economists refer to it as “fiscal dominance”.

Even though this crisis is similar to the one in 1930, it is also different, Brazilian people are considered middle class and not poor anymore, the economy is more diverse and well distributed.

Nevertheless, in terms of the government’s balance sheet, the situation is as bad now as it was then.

People are immigrating to a better life, but some countries are bloking them to came in.

Maria Sophia Folkerts Cincurá, 12 years old, is a studen at See-Saw Panamby thinks countries shouldn´t block immigrants to enter the country.

In 2014, some immigrants from Iraq wanted to go out of the country because a group of terrorists invaded their country and killed a lot of people. So the survivors, especially the families, escaped to other places. But there was a problem, because some places closed their passage for them to enter, so they couldn´t find a place to go, so they became homeless, than they need to go back to Iraq. Some people don´t agree with immigration because it would rise the country’s population.

In these days, Iraq is still on war, and people are without home, because it is all destroyed, and people didn´t enter some countries so they had to come back to Iraq and rebuild their houses. Some of the families are doing their best

More than two million Syrians already went to Europe because of the civil war in Syria and to try a better life in Europe. A proposal was made in Brussels on the seventh of March, 2016.

After a huge number of immigrants reached European countries by a storm running away from war, many were the concerns and drafts of proposals that are far from being appropriate. If the proposal offered is accepted, the European Union plans closing the Balcan route that goes from Syria to Europe.

Most immigrants are coming from Syria.

Lots of immigrants died on the routes to Europe because these are dangerous and risky routes. It was estimated that more than one thousand migrants already died on the routes and some couldn’t reach their destination.

European Union still hasn't accepted their proposal yet but there is a high chance they will accept it because millions of people already reached Europe and they can't maintain the whole group, so by blocking the passage that most immigrants go to Greece, that is by going by boat in the Aegean sea, it will keep people from venturing themselves to salvation.

The most important are: Copa São Paulo de Kart, Granja Viana, and São Paulo Light. The categories in the championships are: Cadete, Micro Max, Mini Max, Junior Menor, Junior Max, Junior, Max/ Maxter, DD2, Graduados and Shifter.

This categories have age and speed limits for each one. On the categorie Shifter the karts reach the maximum speed that is 220km/h. This sport is not very popular for people of working class and middle class because it costs a lot of money and they don’t have any incentives. We also have the karts indoor that are for people that just

want to have fun.

Why have you decided to be a kart rider?

I decided to be a kart driver one day my cousin took me to a kart renting place and I loved it. then, in 4th grade aa friend of mine told me he rode kart at championships and, after talking to my mom I also started doing this.

Do you wish to be a kart rider in the future?

Yes, my dream is to be a kart driver in the future.

How many awards have you got?

I’ve got 25 awards in total, most of them of 2nd and 3rd place.

How many times do you ride per week?

I ride 1 time per week but, when there are going to be official races I ride 6 times per week.

What do you hate about kart?

There’s nothing I hate about it, it’s just perfect.

How is your relation with your squad?

My relation with my squad isn’t very good so I’m planing to change squad.

How was your transference to BIREL? It was verry good becaus Iadapted quickly to their kart as it was lighterand he didn’t need to do regimen.

This text will show you some curious facts about the World Cups throughout the history of this championship.

Even though it was on a 24-hour surveillance, thieves managed to steal the trophy out its display case and make off with it. Six days after its disappearance, a guy called David Corbett and his dog, Pickles, were having a walk in London’s Beulah Hill district when the dog began smelling a newspaper-wrapped parcel. The trophy had been found. The dog became immediately an international hero. England won that World Cup and it was the first and last win in the England’s history of World Cups.

2nd fact: In the middle of the final game of 2006 between France and Italy, Zinedine Zidane unexpectedly stroke Marco Materazzi in the chest with his head. This occurrence appalled many spectators and commentators and some of them even thought that it was a reaction to a racial slur but they were wrong. ARUAN AND THE 100K BUTTON .

About 4 months ago, a Brazilian youtuber called Aruan Félix cut Youtube’s silver button, a picture frame that contains the platform’s logo painted with silver paint and a message for the youtuber congratulating him for achieving the amount of 100 000 subscribers.

The fact of the matter is that this youtuber generated a whole polemic when he made a video in which he cut this button and said he was doing this because he wanted to know what was inside it and he also that he didn’t want 100 000 subscribers anymore because he wanted to achieve the number of 1 million subscribers. After 1 day many famous youtubers from Brazil started to comment on the video saying he was a jerk and that he didn’t care for his fans and they were just numbers for him. After his video had more than 19 million views and 2 million dislikes, he made peace with this youtubers. “Many jerks came up with a wrong idea about me saying that I hate my fans but, in fact during events and gaming festivals I always try to talk to all of my fans while many of the guys that cursed me, stay on the VIP area drinking water and throwing their subscribers’ gifts on the trash. This is simply sad.”

Last week he made a video mocking a very famous funk singer called MC Léo da Baixada saying he is has a horrible image posing with prostitutes and saying many bad words in his videos. In resonse the MC said that if he finds Aruan in the street he will crush the polemic youtuber.

Nowadays Aruan is helping a youtuber called Lorena, from CarecaTV, to become famous and he is friend with many well known youtubers, like Cocielo, Muca, Igão and even Cellbit, his exrival. To solve all this polemics he asked sorry for his acts in the past and said that he will solve his problems in whatsapp and not in public networks, like twitter and facebook.

We have gone to Decathlon to check out and test their skateboards and longboards. We noticed they do not have too many specifications other then their own brand, for the streetboards they work with the brand “rednose”, and many of their longboards are from the brand “oxelo”.

The difference between both the longboards and the streetboards is, well, different brands, which means they do not work with the same custom parts. They have different types of materials for the shape, trucks and wheels.

When we tested the longboards the trucks were very toed but the board itself would barely make a turn, but the street style had a looser truck and would turn so much that the wheels would come off the floor.

Overall they are good quality skateboards, specially for begginners. They both have different riding and speed functions, the longboard is ment for high speed down hills, and the street one is more for tricks and half pipes, they are different brands so they work with different materials

Ran sushi is an a la carte gourmet sushi house, so if you expect to eat simple sushi you are in the wrong place because they have more elaborated sushi like unagi and scallops.

There, they know how to do dishes with salmon, specially salmon.

Another good dish is the ‘combinado do chefe’ witch comes with treats like scallops, octopus, unagi, salmon with black salt and tuna with Sicilian lemon.

Their temakis were very good, because the seaweed was a little crunchy and the fish was soft. We didn´t have the chance to prove their executive meu, a option that comes with 10 different dishes, the problem is that it is only available from Monday to Friday.

Even though the food is good, the restaurant location is bad because it is in a not well known neighborhood and the space is very small. Another bad thing about the location is that the name of the restaurant and the front are a little bit hidden by trees. The service of this restaurant is very good because the space is so small that the waiters can see easily all the clients.

The waiters are very polite and if you need them for something they are always available.

The internal space from this restaurant is very small including the restrooms, as a consequence walking is very difficult inside the restaurant. The illumination is very bad inside the restaurant making very unconfortable for your eyes. The music was a little bit loud to speak to each other. The menu of the restaurant was very disorganized because didn`t say the right quantity of the food and it doesn’t have the dishes written in braile even though it is the law, the price of the drinks were too expensive.

The restaurant’ drinks were too expensive, even the soft drinks like coke.

The restaurant was very clean including the fish, because it had no dots and it was soft and shiny. The plates and the cups were very clean and the tables were shiny and weren’t sticky.

We all recommend this restaurant because the space and the food are really good and the prices are not so high. The service is excellent and the place is very clean.

People are used to see Ovomaltine as chocolate powder to put in milk.

We didn’t knew it existed but we found out a Ovomaltine crunchy cream. This is a really wonderful and tasty cream, with a chocolate crunchy taste that maybe will not let everyone comfortable because is a little bit more sweet than it should.

It’s flavor looks a lot like Ovomaltine powder but a better version of it.

If you like Nutella you should taste this Ovomaltine cream, is like another version of it with crunchy parts! As a client said, when you put it inside your mouth there is an explosion of, and trust me you will. However, the product have a great amount of calories so you need to be careful and measure the much you’re eating.
