Dear Church Family,
I remember how everyone felt the first time we published the Second Baptist Church Newsletter (aka Second’s Gazette) in April 2009. Everyone rushed to get a copy and read it. We have published weddings, funerals, birthdays, baptisms, anniversaries, Jubilee’s, ministry events, etc. and we have taken pictures and covered it all. We even have our own comedy strip, The Laughing Pew by Diakona Ron Husband. Our newsletter allows us to print the news we want to hear and read about.
I remember all of the heartfelt conversations that have happened surrounding how to ensure the history at SBC should be maintained and we are 134 issues strong, this month. Thank you and keep sending in information about yourself, family, children and grandchildren. You are such an amazing congregation and it has been such a blessing to share your compassion, generosity and willingness to preserve our history.
