We are committed to being a global leader in defining the future of sustainable events and live experiences. Our achievements include:

Energy Management

Working to reduce energy use by upgrading to energy efficient equipment and converting gas appliances to electric in our retail kitchens.

Leadership and Engagement

Established ‘Team Green’ ambassadors and run a variety of sustainability initiatives for the SEC Team each year, including biodiversity, sustainable transport and sustainable food topics.

Governance and Policy

The SEC holds a Gold standard in Green Tourism and Meetings, with environmental considerations embedded in capital projects.

Resource Efficiency and Waste Management

Fully optimising the use of reusable cups has significantly reduced waste, and we continue to design waste out of the system. 80% of food is sourced from within 200km and all menus are plant-forward.

Partnership and Collaboration

We partner with charities and organisations to donate items such as furniture, mobile aids and abandoned tents, that would otherwise go to waste. We collaborate with Net Zero Carbon Events to provide a sustainable event toolkit to clients.
