FORMATIVE CYCLES

BASIC INSTITUTIONAL CYCLE: Its purpose is the development of identity around the values and principles of Christian humanism for comprehensive training, consistent with the institutional project. This Cycle is a transversal axis of training for all UPB academic programs.

BASIC DISCIPLINARY CYCLE : develops the fundamentals of the discipline of Architecture and the acquisition of skills to understandtheconceptionofspace;thelanguageofrepresentationand communication in Architecture; the conceptual and procedural supports for the control of the constructed fact; the regulations of the city and the territory at the different scales and levels of intervention; the understanding of the relationship between the architectural project and the context; and the understanding of the theoretical foundations that allow the approximation to the solution of professional and disciplinary problems. It includes the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th semesters. The 3rd and 5th semesters are verification thresholds of skill levels

PROFESSIONAL CYCLE: with a highly flexible component, it fosters diversity in training emphases based on Research experiences, Optional and Elective subjects, PDT Research courses and Graduation Projects (PDT).

INTEGRATION CYCLE: it is an optional Cycle that offers the student of the 9th and 10th semesters the possibility of taking subjects from the Graduate Programs of the School of Architecture and Design.
