About our school: Opened in 1985, Open Window School is the Eastside’s only K-8 independent school whose mission is specifically focused on the needs of gifted children. The program is dedicated to nurturing children’s social and emotional needs, intellectual curiosity, creativity and capacity for critical thinking along with appropriately challenging academics. At the heart of its philosophy is the conviction that its students are “children first, gifted second.”
