Beginnings

Today

Nursery: The Nursery is available downstairs for children (newborn–age 3) during the morning service. Children’s Church (ages 4-10) meets today. Teachers and helpers will be in the Lobby area to meet you. Sunday School and Catechism classes are on hiatus until the new academic year. We hope to see you in the Fall.

Next Week

Message: Pastor Dan Claus will continue our Summer sermon series on "Beginnings," based on the book of Genesis. Communion: Next week, we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper together. Over the coming week, prepare your heart to confess at the Lord’s table so that you seek your salvation in Jesus Christ. Two Offerings: We will collect two offerings next Sunday. The first one will be directed toward our Local Operating Budget (LOB), and the second benevolence offering will go to Bethany Christian Services. Thank you for being a prayerful and generous church body! Cookie Social: We will have our monthly cookie social. For those of you whose last name begins with I-R, please bring 2 or 3 dozen treats to share.

ANNOUNCEMENTS Office Cleaning Underway

Request from Crossroads Prison Ministries:

With Pastor Dan and Daniel Dovinh now on board, we are looking to reduce clutter in the offices. During the month of July, the staff will gather excess books, files and other items in Room 206 and will leave them there until the end of the month.

In January, CPM began covering the cost of postage for students' Bible study lessons. The response has been a tremendous growth in student enrollment. Currently, 2,500 lessons are waiting in the office to be sent to an available mentor.

Feel free to sort through these items to see if there is anything you might like to take home. At the end of the month, we will find the appropriate way to discard of what's left. If your ministry group regularly uses Room 206 and has not already been contacted about shifting your meeting, please contact the Church Office for help making other meeting arrangements.

You can be a part of helping people study the Bible by reviewing one lesson per week, one every other week, or one per month (answer sheets are provided). If you would like to respond to this urgent need, please contact them by email (mentor@cpministries.org) or call the office at 1-800-668-2450.

You may also contact Vonnie Roosendaal (ldroosendaal@msn.com) for more information about this ministry.

Getting Connected We encourage you to get connected with a community group for fellowship and mutual support. It is far too easy to simply come to church on Sunday and then slip out. We want to get to know you better, so join us! If you would like more information about any group, please contact the Church Office.

Shoreline Christian Reformed Church is a gospel and grace-centered

community learning how to follow Jesus. We belong to a broader community called The Christian Reformed Church. What does this mean? We call ourselves… Christian… Because we belong to Jesus Christ and want to be His followers.

Reformed…

Church…

Because we’re part of the historic branch of the Christian church that follows the teachings of the leaders of the Protestant Reformation, who struggled to return Christianity to its Biblical roots. Because God has called us to be a fellowship of His people in the world.
