CADETS BOYS' CLUB Our Cadet ministry program continues to be a fun learning experience for the boys (and counselors) in discovering skills, interests and expanding our knowledge of God’s world. We’re focused this year on a number of activities that encourage the boys to grow mentally, physically, socially and spiritually. We are also growing in building positive and encouraging relationships between the boys (3rd – 6th grade) and counselors. We’ve enjoyed games, Bible lessons, crafts, badges and outings with other Cadet clubs. Highlights: • Soap carving • Model rockets • Game nights • Safety and disaster preparedness • Thanksgiving craft centerpieces • Baking (muffins and make your own pizza) • Individual badge work (skills, learning and hobbies) • Snow derby with other area Cadet clubs • Swimming • Pancake breakfast fundraiser (thanks for your support!)

We’re currently working on our pinewood derby cars for the upcoming Cadet-a-Rama event on Saturday, May 19. The boys have been customizing their cars for our annual race against other Cadet clubs (Bellevue, Everett, and Olympia). There’s always a friendly competition and a desire to have the fastest car or have it look the coolest. Maybe this year we’ll win the Club trophy back from Bellevue. They won it from us a few years ago and we want it back! This event is always a fun time and the highlight of the season. Feel free to join us on May 19 to cheer on the “home team”.

Our counselors this year, include many fathers of cadets: • Kevin Stratton • Michael Van Schepen • Pius Bamana • Jeremy Jonkman • Mark Hinderliter • Paul Kennedy
We also have a few Junior Counselors that help out once in a while: • Max Loechelt-Yoshioka • Josh Holmes • Danny Mercado Thank you for your continued prayers and support for this ministry. 206.364.3021 office@seattlecrc.org

In a busy culture where family values are constantly threatened, we need to invest in strong families. Cascade Family Bible Camp offers a weekend each year in early July to retreat from the hectic pace of life and relax in the beautiful grounds of Warm Beach Camp. Meetings are planned for all ages in the morning and evenings, allowing plenty of free time in between.
If you have a special day in May that we might have missed, please let us know. You may contact the Church Office by phone or email to provide the needed information. Thank you!

Getting Connected We encourage you to get connected with a community group for fellowship and mutual support. It is far too easy to simply come to church on Sunday and then slip out. We want to get to know you better, so join us! If you would like more information about any group, please contact the Church Office.
Cadets (Boys grades 3-6) The goal of Cadeting is to help boys grow spiritually in all areas of life—devotional, mental, physical, and social. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. Hebrews 10:24-25 (NLT)

Shoreline Christian Reformed Church is a gospel and grace-centered
community learning how to follow Jesus. We belong to a broader community called The Christian Reformed Church. What does this mean? We call ourselves… Christian… Because we belong to Jesus Christ and want to be His followers.
Reformed…
Church…
Because we’re part of the historic branch of the Christian church that follows the teachings of the leaders of the Protestant Reformation, who struggled to return Christianity to its Biblical roots. Because God has called us to be a fellowship of His people in the world.
