ANNOUNCEMENTS Meal Train for Clems Thank you to everyone who has been supporting Joe and Edna Clem with prayers and meals! Edna is gradually feeling better, but will be wearing the boot for the broken bone a few more weeks and still gets fatigued quickly. TODAY - Pastoral Candidate Visit and Q&A Session with Dan Claus Reverend Dan Claus and his wife, Grace, are visiting Shoreline CRC in order to lead us in worship and giving us a chance to meet them. Immediately following the service, we will move directly into a Q&A session with Dan. After we have concluded the Q&A session, we will have an opportunity to enjoy a delicious community meal together downstairs in the MPR. This will provide an informal way to get to know Dan and Grace more personally as we fellowship with one another. Community Meal The congregation is invited to our community meal. TODAY  12:30–1:30 p.m. Multi-Purpose Room This will immediately follow the Q&A session with Pastoral Candidate Dan and Grace Claus. Delicious soup will be provided. Thanks to those who brought a salad or a dessert to share with others.

The deacons would like to continue the meal support for a few weeks so you can sign up online through the Meal Train website: https://mealtrain.com/m790gl or you can call Edna and Joe at home. Please continue to pray for complete healing for Edna.

Note from Sanctuary Interior Team (SIT) SIT has been busily working with the Council to come up with an economically feasible approach to our sanctuary renovation. In the meantime, please be aware that SIT will be trying some new ways to use our Sanctuary and other areas of the church. Watch for some changes as we try new things. We welcome your feedback! Your SIT Team is comprised of Laurie Dykstra, Doug Heys, Karen Heys, and Phyllis Lont. For more info, contact the Church Office

Getting Connected We encourage you to get connected with a community group for fellowship and mutual support. It is far too easy to simply come to church on Sunday and then slip out. We want to get to know you better, so join us! If you would like more information about any group, please contact the Church Office.

Cadets (Boys grades 3-6) The goal of Cadeting is to help boys grow spiritually in all areas of life—devotional, mental, physical, and social. GEMS (Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior) This club for girls in grades 3-6 meets on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in various rooms at church. Our activities include Bible lessons, praise/worship, badges, crafts and other fun things. ALIVE Youth Group (JH and HS students) This year, we are combining our JH and HS students in a group called ALIVE (always living in view of eternity). We meet on the first and third Wednesdays of each month, unless noted otherwise. Our next meeting is on Wednesday, January 17 at 7:00 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room. Couples' Club (for Couples of All Ages) This group meets one Saturday evening per month from October through May. Our next meeting will be on Saturday, January 20 at 6:30 p.m. Host: Rich & Alyce Bakker Helpers: Ken & Carla Hoekzema Dan & Chris Kredit

Sunday Afternoon Bible Study (Adults all ages) This group of adults meets once a month in various homes every third Sunday from September through May. Our next meeting is Sunday, January 21 at 3:00 p.m. We will continue in our study by Dale Larsen entitled, "Growing Older and Wiser." Men’s Bible Study The Men’s Bible Study meets most Monday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Room. We will resume this week in our study of Zechariah. All men are welcome, so please join us! Women’s Monday PM Bible Study The Women's Monday Evening Bible Study meets most Monday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in Rooms 201-202. We are using the study Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World by Joanna Weaver. We invite women of all ages to join us. Contact Carla Hoekzema (206) 793-6965 if you have any questions. Women's Thursday AM Bible Study Join us on Thursday mornings at 9:30 a.m. in Rooms 201-202 as work through our study, Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World by Joanna Weaver. This includes video introductions and lessons for this 12-week study. We invite women of all ages to join us!

Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. Hebrews 10:24-25 (NLT)

Shoreline Christian Reformed Church is a gospel and grace-centered

community learning how to follow Jesus. We belong to a broader community called The Christian Reformed Church. What does this mean? We call ourselves… Christian… Because we belong to Jesus Christ and want to be his followers.

Reformed…

Church…

Because we’re part of the historic branch of the Christian church that follows the teachings of the leaders of the Protestant Reformation, who struggled to return Christianity to its biblical roots. Because God has called us to be a fellowship of his people in the world.
