All ladies are welcome!

We will once again invite children from our church and neighborhood to come for an evening of fun while their much-deserving parents enjoy a date night or just time to run some errands. Friday, September 22  6:30–9:00 p.m. Church Lower Level Children ages 6 months through 11 years are invited to enjoy games, stories, and snacks in a safe, supervised environment. Young parents may enjoy a night out without paying for childcare.

Cadet Leaders Needed Looking for a way to serve? We hope you consider joining the Cadets as a counselor. We are a fun bunch of leaders committed to helping boys grow mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually while gaining skills along the way. If interested, we could sure use help in our growing program. Please contact Kevin Stratton.

The rest of us—ages 12 and up—will have the opportunity to serve the young families by volunteering to help with registration, preparing and serving snacks, or playing with/caring for the children. You may register your children or volunteer at the table in the Foyer. Questions may be directed to Dora van der Giessen. Thank you for serving our community in this generous way!

Prayer Request Ada Vanderwerff continues her stay at Ida Culver House Broadview, located at 12505 Greenwood Ave N, Seattle, WA 98133. The family asks for your continued prayers for her healing and recovery. She is currently in Room 218A, and visitors are welcome.

Getting Connected We encourage you to get connected with a community group for fellowship and mutual support. It is far too easy to simply come to church on Sunday and then slip out. We want to get to know you better, so join us! If you would like more information about any group, please contact the Church Office. Cadets (Boys grades 3-6) The goal of Cadeting is to help boys grow spiritually in all areas of life—devotional, mental, physical, and social. The Cadets are currently finishing summer break, and will resume on Wednesday, September 20. GEMS (Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior), a club for girls in grades 3-6, meets during the school year on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. Our activities include Bible lessons, praise/ worship, badges, crafts and other fun things. The girls are enjoying the last of the summer break, and will meet again on Sept. 20. ALIVE Youth Group (JH and HS students) This year, we are combining our JH and HS students in a group called ALIVE (always living in view of eternity). We will kick off our year by meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 13. Thereafter, we will plan to meet in the MPR on the first and third Wednesdays of each month, unless noted otherwise. Pray for leaders Nicole Moxon and Kim Clousing as they plan for an exciting year of youth ministry. Couples' Club (for Couples of All Ages) This groups meets one Saturday evening per month from October through May. We look forward to kicking off a new year at the Vedders' Home on Saturday, October 14. If you would like to learn more about this group, you may contact the Church Office.

Sunday Afternoon Bible Study (Adults all ages) This group of adults meets once a month in various homes every third Sunday from September through May. The year will kick off with a potluck lunch on Sunday, Sept. 17 at the Holly home. We will utilize a book by Dale Larsen entitled, "Growing Older and Wiser." Hope to see you! Men’s Bible Study The Men’s Bible Study meets most Monday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Room. We continue to meet during the summer months, focusing on the Book of Titus. Please join us! Women's Thursday AM Bible Study We are restarting our Thursday morning Bible Study sessions on Sept. 14 at 9:30 a.m. in Rooms 201-202. We will be using the book, Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World by Joanna Weaver. This includes video introductions and lessons for this 12-week study. We invite women of all ages to join us! Women’s Monday PM Bible Study The Women's Monday Evening Bible Study will start again on Monday, Sept. 11 at 7:00 p.m. in Rooms 201-202. We will continue in our study from last Spring, Embracing God's Grace. This study is one that does not require continuity, so all women are invited to join us at any time.

Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. Hebrews 10:24-25 (NLT)

Shoreline Christian Reformed Church is a gospel and grace-centered

community learning how to follow Jesus. We belong to a broader community called The Christian Reformed Church. What does this mean? We call ourselves… Christian… Because we belong to Jesus Christ and want to be his followers.

Reformed…

Church…

Because we’re part of the historic branch of the Christian church that follows the teachings of the leaders of the Protestant Reformation, who struggled to return Christianity to its biblical roots. Because God has called us to be a fellowship of his people in the world.
