Announcements Acres of Diamonds Camp Sponsorships

WAVS Seattle-Area Event

The Deacons are sponsoring four kids to go to camp through Acres of Diamonds —a charity we support as a church.

In efforts to reconnect

Hope for Homeless Women & Children Whether through their own choices, injustice perpetrated by another, or a combination of both, all the women who come to Acres of Diamonds are looking for a second chance. They have committed to grow in the four core areas of personal development our program focuses on—relational, spiritual, communal, and self. For the kids in these families, healing starts with a roof over their head and feeling safe. Once they feel safe, they can begin to experience what it feels like to be a kid again. It's not an easy journey and there are challenges and hurdles. Through Acres of Diamonds' Summer Camp, kids have opportunities to heal, play, learn, and grow in fun ways—helping to break the patterns of homelessness and broken relationships. Sponsorship makes this kind of healing possible, and the Deacons have decided to sponsor four kids in this way. If you would like more information about this program, contact one of our Deacons (listed on back page).

Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. Hebrews 10:24-25 (NLT)

Shoreline Christian Reformed Church is a gospel and grace-centered

community learning how to follow Jesus. We belong to a broader community called The Christian Reformed Church. What does this mean? We call ourselves… Christian… Because we belong to Jesus Christ and want to be his followers.

Reformed…

Church…

Because we’re part of the historic branch of the Christian church that follows the teachings of the leaders of the Protestant Reformation, who struggled to return Christianity to its biblical roots. Because God has called us to be a fellowship of his people in the world.
