Announcements Prayer Request World Renew is currently working on a reconstruction project in Century, Florida to repair damage from a tornado about a year ago. Please pray for Roy and Polly Stanley, who will be serving as on-site managers from February 15 to March 18. They would appreciate your prayers for safety in travel and health for the team, and that God would be glorified through this work. Children's Church Ministry - March 5 All volunteers and substitutes for the Children's Church Ministry are asked to attend a brief meeting after the service next week on March 5. We will gather in the MultiPurpose Room and spend a few moments discussing the ministry. Thanks for saving this important time. Greenbelt Event on Organic Outreach Tom Green, Trainer/Coach with Organic Outreach International, will be presenting a one-day workshop helping local churches catch the vision of how Organic Outreach can be implemented in a churchwide strategy. Saturday, March 11, 9:00 am–3:00 pm Faith Community Church 10220 238th St. SW, Edmonds Participants will leave with clear steps to begin raising the outreach influence in their church to impact their community with Christ's love. For tickets and more information, you may visit their website at tinyurl.com/organicoutreach or call (206) 542-8883. 4

Important Congregational Vote on April 2 The Council is grateful for the overwhelming and strong input of the congregation in recent weeks and months about our church identity as we’ve discussed the need to change our church name. Your collective desire to reach the community for Christ has been exciting to see, and leadership is moving this process forward based on your feedback. On Sunday, April 2, we will vote on the top three church names that have surfaced as the most compelling and descriptive options. Please check your lobby mailbox for a full proposal that outlines the name options and the process of how we will move forward at a Congregational Meeting immediately after the service. In the weeks preceding the vote, the Council asks that you take time over the next month to reflect on and discuss the following questions within your small groups or ministries: 1. How will a new name affect our witness to our community? 2. What would each of these names mean to our unchurched neighbors and friends? 3. Which names are short, clear, easy to remember, meaningful, and reverent? Thank you for your prayerful consideration in preparation for the Congregational Vote on April 2.

Getting Connected We encourage you to get connected with a community group for fellowship and mutual support. It is far too easy to simply come to church on Sunday and then slip out. We want to get to know you better, so join us! If you would like more information about any group, please contact the Church Office. Cadets (Boys grades 3-6) The goal of Cadeting is to help boys grow spiritually in all areas of life—devotional, mental, physical, and social. The Cadets meet most Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall during the school year. GEMS (Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior), a club for girls in grades 3-6, meets on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in various rooms at church. Our activities include Bible lessons, praise/worship, badges, crafts and other fun things. MAC (Made Alive in Christ) MAC Junior High students meet together most Wednesdays during the academic year. Come join the fun at 7:00 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room. High School Youth Group The High School Youth Group meets at 6:00 p.m. on the first and third Sundays of each month during the school year. We have a meal together and get caught up on each other's lives before learning about discipleship in Christ. Grow Groups (Adults) Grow Groups meet once a month in various homes every third Sunday from September through May. We are continuing our study of Galatians.

Couples Club (for Couples of All Ages) This groups meets one Saturday evening per month from October through May. Our next meeting will be on Saturday, March 25 (rescheduled because of the Missions Conference on March 18-19). HOST: Rich & Alyce Bakker HELP: Dan & Chris Kredit Eric & Dora van der Giessen Men’s Bible Study The Men’s Bible Study meets most Mondays at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Room. We use a John Stott study guide as we focus on 1st Timothy and Titus. Women's Morning Bible Study The ladies meet most Thursday mornings from 9:30–11:00 a.m. in Rooms 201-202. We are using a Bible study guide entitled, "The Girl's Still Got It: Take a Walk with Ruth and the God Who Rocked Her World" by Liz Curtis Higgs. We are currently on break and we'll resume on February 2 in Lesson 5 of our study. Women’s Evening Bible Study The Women's Evening Bible Study meets most Monday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in Rooms 201-202. We are using the study guide "Embracing God's Grace— Colossians and Philemon." Please join us if you are able.

Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. Hebrews 10:24-25 (NLT)

First Christian Reformed Church of Seattle is a gospel and grace-centered community learning how to follow Jesus. We belong to a broader community called The Christian Reformed Church. What does this mean? We call ourselves… Christian… Because we belong to Jesus Christ and want to be his followers. Reformed… Because we’re part of the historic branch of the Christian church that follows the teachings of the leaders of the Protestant Reformation, who struggled to return Christianity to its biblical roots. Church… Because God has called us to be a fellowship of his people in the world.
