Announcements Table Talk—Church Identity TODAY @ 11:30 a.m. in MPR Our recent Table Talks on Church Identity have shown that there is widespread eagerness to participate in the discussion about how to identify ourselves to the community we serve. As we consider a pending church name change, we want to be clear and compelling in communicating who we are and what we're about. Because the last Table Talk was so well-attended, the Council is hosting another one to allow for more participation. This will be a repeat of the 11/13 session, so don't feel a need to attend again if you came to the first one. If you have any questions, please contact Wayne Clousing.

Shoreline Christian School Chili Feed The annual SCS Chili Feed will have an interesting new twist this year. Not only will we enjoy a great night of food, fun and fellowship, this year's event will feature a "Chili Cook-Off" competition. Several staff members will be cooking up batches of their personal chili recipes, and you'll be able to vote for your favorite. Friday, January 27  5:00-7:00 p.m. Fellowship Hall This event is free, but SCS appreciates your donations which help fund professional development for the SCS staff. You are also invited to attend exciting basketball action earlier that afternoon as the SCS Chargers take on Orcas Island - BJV at 2:00 pm, GV at 3:30 pm, and BV at 5:00 pm.

Table Talks – Worship Renewal In recent weeks, the Council has been engaging in discussions about Worship Renewal with the talented and dedicated people who plan and lead worship. First Christian Reformed Church of Seattle is a gospel and grace-centered community learning how to follow Jesus. We belong to a broader community called The Christian Reformed Church. What does this mean? We call ourselves… Christian… Because we belong to Jesus Christ and want to be his followers. Reformed… Because we’re part of the historic branch of the Christian church that follows the teachings of the leaders of the Protestant Reformation, who struggled to return Christianity to its biblical roots. Church… Because God has called us to be a fellowship of his people in the world.
