You are invited to the Calvin College January Series beginning January 4, and continuing weekdays through January 24 at First CRC. Each lecture will be shown via a “live feed from Calvin College and will cover topics ranging from reimagining healthcare, closing the gender gap in technology, global poverty and violence, vocation and calling, race and reconciliation and so much more by top experts in their fields. Each session will begin at 9:30 a.m. and will last for about one hour. For information about speakers and topics, visit the January Series website at www.calvin.edu/january.

Thanksgiving Generosity The Deacons would like to thank you as a generous church body for your gifts during Thanksgiving. The food that you donated allowed us to bless seven families directly. We also donated ten bags of food to Tent City, and twenty bags to North Helpline. Many people will be helped by the open hearts you display as the hands and feet of Jesus. Thank you again!

Year-End Financials As we approach the end of another year, it is also time to think about closing our financial books and records. Please gather up and submit all receipts, invoices, statements, bills, etc. which must be included in our 2016 budget by December 31. You may place your records in the bookkeeper mailbox in the copy room, or you can simply email them to Bookkeeper@seattlecrc.org. Thank you for helping us close out the books for 2016 in a timely way.

Table Talk— Church Identity & Branding Our last Table Talk on Nov. 13 regarding Church Identity & Branding demonstrated that there was widespread eagerness to participate in the discussion about how to identify ourselves to the community we serve. As we consider a pending church name change, we want to be clear and compelling in communicating who we are and what we're about. Because the last Table Talk was so well-attended, the Council is planning another one to allow for more participation. This will be a repeat of the 11/13 one, so don't feel a need to attend again if you came to the first one. Sunday, January 15, 2016 - 11:30 a.m. Multi-Purpose Room Please join us if this is a topic of interest to you. If you have any questions, please contact Wayne Clousing.

We use a John Stott study guide as we focus on 1st Timothy and Titus. We will meet until December 19 and then take a break for a couple of weeks, and then we will resume on January 9. Women’s Monday PM Bible Study The Women's Evening Bible Study meets most Monday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in Rooms 201-202. We are currently on Christmas break and will resume in January. More details coming soon. Women's Thursday AM Bible Study The ladies meet most Thursday mornings from 9:30–11:00 a.m. in Rooms 201-202. We are using a Bible study guide entitled, "The Girl's Still Got It: Take a Walk with Ruth and the God Who Rocked Her World" by Liz Curtis Higgs. We are currently on Christmas break and we'll resume on February 2 in Lesson 5 of our study.

Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. Hebrews 10:24-25 (NLT) 206.364.3021  office@seattlecrc.org

First Christian Reformed Church of Seattle is a gospel and grace-centered community learning how to follow Jesus. We belong to a broader community called The Christian Reformed Church. What does this mean? We call ourselves… Christian… Because we belong to Jesus Christ and want to be his followers. Reformed… Because we’re part of the historic branch of the Christian church that follows the teachings of the leaders of the Protestant Reformation, who struggled to return Christianity to its biblical roots. Church… Because God has called us to be a fellowship of his people in the world.
