For Amusement Only is exactly what the doctor ordered. Out of necessity, society has created an epic shift of lifestyle and daily routine, and in the process has established new norms. In all of this we have all found ourselves in an unwanted quagmire. On a nightly basis my mind wanted to recoil, yet through my creative process, I discovered that what I needed, perhaps what we all needed, was amusement. We needed to be joyfully entertained and pushed into a world that asks only one thing of us... to enjoy. The power of art is not just in the act of creating it, but also the act of looking and living with it, being surrounded by it, and by falling into it. Thank you for becoming a part of this art and for putting your energy toward immersing yourself in these works and the world that it holds for me. Allow me, if only ever so briefly, to amuse you. We are planning to re-open our doors in June. Our new hours will be Tuesday through Saturday, 11-5, PM and by appointment. For your health and ours we will limit the number of people allowed into the gallery space at any one time and we encourage you to make an appointment ahead of your visit. Our First Thursday Art Walk and opening receptions will be on hold, but we will continue to celebrate our artists and exhibitions with exciting digital content and VIP preview opportunities.
