MIXED-USE HOUSING COMPLEX
The Alley is located in southeast Seattle’s Rainier Beach neighborhood in the center of its emerging commercial district. The building’s form splits into two single-loaded bars providing every unit with ample access to sunlight and fresh air. This gesture also creates the opportunity for an activated throughway within the site and a semi-public streetfront where businesses and live-work spaces can open up into a welcoming alleyway. A series of exterior walkways, bridges, and stairs connect the two building
