Exceptional Music, Luxury Sailings October 25 to November 2, 2025 on the SEA CLOUD II
Once a year, the upscale lounges of the SEA CLOUDS transform into exclusive concert halls for renowned artists and up-and-coming talents from the Steinway Artist family. This fall, guests can expect another special music festival when SEA CLOUD II sails between Barcelona and Málaga. Selected artists on board and ashore will dazzle audiences with their mastery on these exquisite pianos.
Since 1853, the name Steinway & Sons has been synonymous with the world’s finest pianos and grand pianos. Passion, dedication, perfection, quality, reliability, and above all, unmatched sound, are just some of the qualities that make these exceptional instruments so revered. It is therefore no surprise that these elegant pieces have found a home amidst the luxury of the SEA CLOUDS.
Steinway & Sons is dedicated to nurturing young pianists and supporting them through the Steinway Prizewinner Concerts Network. The competition takes place every two years and has been a launching pad for many successful pianist careers. With more than 2,000 artists as part of the Steinway Artist family, we are delighted to introduce four of the renowned talents who will be on board for our two journeys.
The luxurious private yacht SEA CLOUD II sails in the tradition of the SEA CLOUD, but interprets true seafaring romance in its own, contemporary way – with high cabin comfort, expansive decks, and plenty of personal retreat spaces.
As an elegant tall ship, the SEA CLOUD II, built in 2001, is clearly recognizable as the younger sister of the legendary SEA CLOUD. Despite all the maritime family resemblance, it has a unique, spacious personality of its own – pampering you, the guest, with the utmost in modern travel comfort.
The complex, built between 1901 and 1930 in Catalan Art Nouveau style, is undoubtedly the most significant work of architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner. Regarded as the father of Modernisme, Domènech’s architectural creations have had a profound impact on the cityscape of Barcelona.
As the largest cohesive Art Nouveau complex, the site was declared a historic monument in 1978 and, due to its uniqueness and artistic beauty, was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1997, along with the Palau de la Música Catalana. In the evening, you will experience the Steinway Opening Concert exclusively in the impressive rooms of this historic venue.
Carles & Sofia Piano Duo, formed by Steinway Artists Carles Lama and Sofia Cabruja, is one of the most prestigious fourhands piano duos in the world, described by New York critics as “the kings of four hands”.
Since 1987, they have performed in iconic venues worldwide, such as Carnegie Hall, Palau de la Música Catalana and Teatro Colón, among many others, both in recitals and with renowned orchestras.
They have been praised for their brilliant technique, passion, and perfect synchronization, but above all, for their sensitivity and ability to move audiences. With their creativity, Carles & Sofia have taken the four-hands repertoire to a new dimension.

Since 2007, the Steinway Prizewinner Concerts Network has been selecting virtuoso young pianists to connect them with audiences early in their careers. At the competition in Dublin, taking place in May 2025, the Steinway talent scouts will once again discover many gifted emerging artists. One of the top three finalists will join our music journey from October 25 to October 29, 2025, and bring the piano to life aboard the SEA CLOUD II.
