Seabrook Island Club Trail Rides
Charles Hairfield – Director of Equestrian
Summer is the perfect time to enjoy one of the Equestrian Center's trails!

We offer guided, beginner-friendly scenic trail rides, beach rides, and pony rides.

Our scenic trail ride tours about three miles around the island's interior This ride is mostly shaded as we horseback through the maritime forests, tidal marsh, Drake Pond, and along the Seabrook Garden The wildlife is very active in this area of the island Depending on the time of year, we often see alligators, deer, birds, turtles, and much more. Our trail ride is a great opportunity to see Seabrook from a different perspective!
Our beach ride takes us to Captain Sams inlet on Seabrook’s North Beach We often head out around low tide when our shorebirds, seabirds, and local stand-feeding dolphins happen to be the most active This is a great opportunity to see and learn more about our local and migratory wildlife!
Our pony ride is a 30-minute guided walk under the magnolias for our younger riders, seven and under. Our ponies typically enjoy the rides as much as the kids do!
Meet Scooby!
Scooby is a Quarter horse in his early twenties. He just recently celebrated his one-year anniversary with us at the Equestrian Center!

Scooby spent most of his life living out west, where he worked cattle on a ranch. Seeing the ocean was a big change of scenery for Scooby, but he has grown to love splashing around in the waves and is confident in guiding the way through the shallows out to the sandbars on the North Beach

Next time you're at the Equestrian Center, be sure to find Scooby and say hello!
