and now it has become a huge event that even people outside of the community want to be a part of.

I love that it’s a safe, fun way that we can all gather as friends, families and neighbors and just have fun and enjoy making memories and watching the kids have a blast! I’m so thankful I get to be a small part of helping families create these moments.

Thank you to Jack Mancini with Keller Williams Realty, he has made it possible for me to continue putting on these events! Thank you to everyone who donated candy and helped at the event. Looking forward to seeing how much bigger this gets next year.

Now on to Turkey Trot!

In the intricate web of global finance, world events cast a profound shadow on the risk tolerance of investors. The ebb and flow of geopolitical tensions, economic fluctuations, and unforeseen crises create a dynamic landscape that directly influences the investment decisions of individuals. Understanding this interconnectedness is crucial for investors, and having a financial planner who truly comprehends your unique risk profile becomes paramount.

Global events, whether political upheavals or economic downturns, have a cascading impact on financial markets. The uncertainty they bring often leads to increased market volatility, affecting the risk and return dynamics of investment portfolios. Investors, in response, may find themselves reassessing their risk tolerance in the face of sudden and unpredictable shifts. A knowledgeable financial planner plays a pivotal role

Tips From The Pro

Mindset Plying Golf

“Even today, it wasn’t like, ‘Man, I hope the double cross with the driver doesn’t show up today. I hope I don’t threeputt today. I hope I don’t chunk the chips today.’

You know, that might happen, but it’s okay. I think just as soon as I made that mindset change, everything started to kind of come together.”

“When I start to see the short game kind of come around and I believe I have all the shots,” Hovland said. “I just saw the shots that I was able to pull off in tournaments and in highly stressful situations. I coupled that with the course management stuff and just the attitude, just handling bad bounces, handling bogeys, handling bad shots. Just those three aspects combined, when I started to see that, I wasn’t stressed when I showed up to a golf tournament or a golf course. It was like, ‘Okay, whatever happens, happens. I might play bad, and that’s okay.’”

Putting Like A Kid!

I have run an after-school golf program for three-plus years. The kids in the program range from kindergarten to fifth grade and some have very minimal golf experience, but

in guiding investors through these turbulent times. Beyond crunching numbers, a perceptive financial advisor takes the time to understand the individual behind the portfolio. They delve into personal goals, time horizons, and most importantly, risk tolerance. This goes beyond a mere questionnaire; it’s about building a relationship grounded in trust and communication.

During periods of heightened global uncertainty, having a financial planner who truly knows you provides a stabilizing force. They can offer informed perspectives, tailored advice, and reassurance based on a deep understanding of your financial personality. Whether it’s steering away from kneejerk reactions or identifying opportunities amid the chaos, a personalized approach to financial planning becomes a shield against market turbulence.

The world is a stage where events unfold and reverberate across financial markets. Recognizing the profound impact

I swear they make more putts than anyone in the world. It showed me how powerful our instincts are as these kids are far from having the perfect putting stroke or setup but go purely off instinct and make putts from all over the green. Trust your instincts and putt like a kid!

We all tend to get too smart for our own good as we get older as opposed to letting our instincts take over on the putting green. We all could use a little bit more “kid” in us on the putting green. The next time you find yourself in a slump on the greens, put yourself in the elementary school version of yourself and let your instincts take over.

I promise you will make more putts.

of these events on investor risk tolerance underscores the importance of a financial planner who goes beyond the surface. A true financial confidante, armed with knowledge and a genuine understanding of your financial DNA, can navigate the tumultuous waters of global events and guide you toward a more secure financial future.

Greenlights

By

Matthew McConaughey’s Greenlights is a book about finding oneself by a process of elimination. Unlike many other autobiographies, the anecdotes he chooses to tell are not picked to generate headlines, but to give an insight into

how he has become the man he is. There may be moments of strife, but he has been very careful not to elaborate on events that could otherwise detract from the theme of his book, namely how his approach to life has evolved.

What is clear from the beginning is that McConaughey loves language and loves playing with language. It is telling that he has chosen to format his book in a way that allows him to experiment with poetic form, rather than a strictly chronological memoir.

The book is like a poem, with the repeated refrain “greenlight” when something positive happens in his life. What is also very clear is McConaughey’s voice. Anyone who has seen him in films or interviews will recognize the turns of phrases that are particular to him, and it is interesting to note just how much freedom he has had in his career to improvise his lines. His is not a voice restrained by academic form, and the result is that he achieves a certain lightness, even when he is describing less pleasant events in his life. This is very far from a “tell-all” memoir. Those seeking insights into his co-stars, seedy gossip on his previous relationships, or stories of personal drama will be very disappointed. Much of his focus is on his family and people who populate his life outside of the film industry.
