THIS ISSUE

Lastly, check out all the presentations the HP University Club is offering this season – all are listed on our website under Home>Lifestyles> Activities>UClub! Just this month (see page 29), you can come hear a talk called “Kenyan Medical Mission” presented by HP residents Drs. Nicole and Brad Wilson and their three children. For the past two summers, the Wilson family

has spent two weeks in Kenya providing medical care. This free program takes place on Thursday, February 20 at 4 p.m. in the Activity Center. Just sign up on the HP website calendar.

Should you have an article to submit for the March issue, my deadline is February 2. Post Cards are welcome! Please email to cvgolfers@gmail.com.

Meet HP’s Sherry Nowak

Please meet Sherry Nowak, our current HP Controller. She joined HP in March, 2022 as an Assistant Controller, an opening that had been posted on Indeed. com. Indeed.com is the #1 job site in the world, and a global job matching and hiring platform.

When Sherry posted for the job at HP, she was living outside of Chicago at the time. “The plan

was always to move to FL. I’ve been coming to Fort Myers for twenty years on vacation. I have a multitude of friends from my home town who’ve relocated here.” What kept her from making the move sooner? Her grandbabies.

While in Chicago, Sherry worked in public accounting for about fifteen years. She decided it wasn’t actually for her anymore. “It was a lot of crazy, crazy hours, and tax season things. I just didn’t want to do it anymore at that time in my life. I wanted to try going with a smaller business, and ended up working for a company in the aviation business. It grew from four employees to over a $50 million business in the ten years I worked there.” She then decided to watch her first grandchild for two years. She started looking for a position here before her next grandchild came along.

The HP position was the first and only one she applied for. She initially worked for Ann Marie Pantos, HP’s Controller in 2022. Sherry was promoted to her current position in March, 2024.

What are her responsibilities? “I initially did various things pertaining to close, as well as cleaned up multiple accounts from when HP was outsourced. I now handle the day-to-day operations, and the overall monthly and annual financials, and I do a lot of reporting. I do the monthly entries, and all of the close, which inevitably tells an overview picture to everyone involved where we stand financially.”

SHERRY NOWAK

“The job isn’t stressful, however certainly time consuming. Finding a balance between work and home is sometimes challenging. I absolutely love my co-workers… all of them. We all work well together as a team. Who you work with makes it very easy to want to come to work!”

Reporting to Sherry is Nicole Ferrone, Accounts Receivables, who was hired in June, 2024. “Nicole has a strong accounting background, as well as a real estate experience. She is very versatile in a lot of the areas here.” Recently coming on board is Joe Carlin, who is now Accounting Assistant. He had previously been in HP’s Food & Beverage department. Sherry feels his F & B background, coupled with his familiarity with the Jonas system, has really made him a valuable asset to the department.

Sherry grew up in Antioch, a Chicago suburb. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Parkside University in Chicago. She has a daughter, Megan, who is married and is a 1st grade teacher and a high school cheerleading coach. “My granddaughters, Everly (3), and Ireland (5), are the joy of my life. I travel home, often on weekends, and almost all holidays. My fiancé, Adam Darling, and I have been together for almost ten years. We’re getting married this June.” Adam works for Midwest Food Bank in Fort Myers.

Sherry and Adam have a white Persian cat named Maverick, who has a lot of personality. Sherry also really enjoys cooking. “Cooking for large groups is a passion. I’ve often been told I should open a restaurant!”

What does Sherry like to do in her spare time? “I’m very active in many functions at my church, Cape Christian in Cape Coral, and volunteer for various events. I

SHERRY’S GRANDDAUGHTERS, EVERLY AND IRELAND

try to remember to be thankful and always give back. I also love to travel and have been all over the world, however, the Caribbean is, by far, my favorite. The British Virgin Islands are especially nice. Adam and I love to cruise, and have been on many. We’ll be traveling to South Africa this year.”

Has she met anyone famous? “Yes! I used to play a lot of volleyball in my younger days, and every year there were tournaments in Las Vegas at the Hard Rock that I would play in. On a trip to Vegas, Mohammed Ali was on our flight. I got his autograph and have a photo with him. So, when I got to Vegas and am playing craps, Shaquille (Shaq) O’Neal walks up to the table with about 17 bodyguards and sits down right next to me. He was huge; however, he was the nicest, sweetest guy. We played for four or five hours.”

What are some things most people don’t know about her? “Psychology classes always fascinated me, so I originally majored in Child Phycology as I wanted to help children. I’m also the world’s worst speller! Give me a spreadsheet and I can do wonders, but give me a paragraph and I need spell-check. Lastly, I’m addicted to the ID channel!”

So, next time you’re in the Activity Center, venture up to the 2nd floor, and stop by and introduce yourself to one of our newer HP managers!

A WORD ABOUT FINANCIAL TRANSPARENCY…

From Sherry Nowak: Please know that the Board of Directors, our General Manager, Traci Irons Izzo, and I, all want to be as financially transparent as possible. Monthly Financials are posted on our website every month, and our Annual Audits are also available to you on our website. Should you need help locating these items, or there is anything specific you would like to see that we don’t already post on our website, please reach out to our GM or myself and we’d be happy to share that with you! My email is Snowak@hpgcc.com, and Traci’s email is Tironsizzo@hpgcc.com.

SHERRY AND ADAM

The HP Master Board is asking YOU to consider joining an Advisory Committee! Do you possess the talents, skills, and fresh ideas that can help our HP Management and Board? Our current Volunteer Advisory Committees are:

• Communications

These nine Committees are very important in the overall scope of HP. They act in an advisory capacity with one Board Member acting as a liaison to the specific committee. The Club’s Advisory Committees are vital in generating thoughts and

ideas for our Club. The Board is currently seeking members, especially new members, to serve on Committees for the next 12 months beginning in April.

So why not apply? A very detailed description of the purpose and responsibilities of each Committee is listed on our website. Simply go to www.hpgcc.com>My Heritage Palms>Committees and click on the green button named Committee Process & Procedures.

There are currently over 100 active, dedicated volunteers working on our Committees. Each year, all current members must reapply if they’d like to continue their service. You’ll receive a Facts Blast describing the BOD’s committee application process this month. It’s simple and easy. Just fill out an application and take it to Jill Eaton in the

Administration Office prior to Friday, March 7. You can find a Committee Application in the flyer rack in the Clubhouse hallway, as well as on the HP website. This form also has a detailed description of what each Committee does. Should you have additional questions regarding how Committees function at HP, please drop me an email at cvgolfers@gmail.com.

If you’re new to our community, it’s especially important to get involved. Don’t worry, the time commitment isn’t overwhelming. Please know Committee positions are open to both year-round and seasonal members! We’ve been impressed with the energy and creativity of our current Committee volunteers. Please join them in making Heritage Palms an even better place to live!

A Dozen Eggs for $2.75? Really?

Yes! And you don’t even have to leave the community! Where do you find this “deal,” and others like it? At HP’s own Market Place, where groceries are made available for purchase, at very competitive prices, by our Food & Beverage Department.

According to HP’s 2024 Member Survey, 11.04% of you were unaware of this amenity, and only 19.96% of you have used it to pick up grocery items. Market

Place was launched in 2020, in response to the Covid pandemic. The Club wanted to offer our members ready-access to groceries without having to leave the property. It was decided to continue to offer this amenity, so you should think about taking advantage of it!

How does it work? It’s simple. Check out the sidebar which includes the Market Place “menu.” Call in your order between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., and pick it up the following day between the hours of 12 to 4 p.m. What’s available?

You can order a delicious, melt-inyour-mouth, 6-ounce filet for $7.50; a scrumptious 11-ounce haddock filet for $6; a delectable 8-ounce salmon filet for $6.50; four 8-ounce hamburgers for $10.50; a one-pound bag of shrimp for $7, and, as mentioned, a dozen eggs for $2.75. Also available are quarts of your favorite chili, chicken salad, or egg salad.

So… check over the Market Place menu, and start planning some great meals! Bon Appetit!

Bicycle and E-Bike Safety

In Florida, the bicycle (E-Bike) is defined as a vehicle and the bicyclist is a driver. Bicyclists have the same rights to the roadways, and must obey the same traffic laws as the drivers of other vehicles. These laws include stopping for stop signs and red lights, riding with the flow of traffic, using lights at night, yielding the right-ofway when entering a roadway and yielding to pedestrians in crosswalks. There is only one road and it is up to bicyclists and motorists to treat each other with care and respect.

Facts About Bicycle Safety:

1,105 bicyclists were killed in traffic crashes in 2022. As you might expect, when a crash occurs between a vehicle and a bike, it’s the bicyclist who is most likely to be injured. A large percentage of crashes can be avoided if motorists and bicyclists follow the rules of the road and watch out for each other.

Bicycle Safety Tips:

• Ride a bike that fits you—if it’s too big, it’s harder to control the bike.

• Wear a helmet.

• Wear bright clothing – especially early in the morning and in the evening.

• Stay alert.

• Put away electronic devices.

• Ride with both hands on the handlebars, unless signaling a turn.

• Pay attention to lane markers.

• Don’t ride between vehicles.

• Cross at intersections.

• Slow and look for traffic (left-right-left and behind) when crossing a street from a sidewalk; be prepared to stop and follow the pedestrian signals.

• Make eye contact with drivers before crossing.

• Look for cars backing out of driveways or turning.

• You have the same rights and responsibilities as drivers.

• Obey street signs, signals, and road markings, just like a car.

• Assume the other person doesn’t see you; look ahead for hazards or situations to avoid that may cause you to fall, like toys, pebbles, potholes, grates, or train tracks.

• Ride in a bicycle lane if present, traveling in the same direction as traffic. If a bicycle lane is not present, ride as close to the right side of the road as possible.

• Use a white light on the front and a red reflector or red light on the back of your bike at night.

• When riding on sidewalks or in crosswalks, a bicyclist has the same rights and duties as a pedestrian.

• A bicyclist riding on sidewalks or in crosswalks must yield the right-of-way to pedestrians and must give an audible signal before passing. Pass pedestrians with care by first announcing “on your left” or “passing on your left” or use a bell.

• Carry all items in a backpack or strapped to the back of the bike.

• Tuck and tie your shoe laces and pant legs so they don’t get caught in your bike chain.

Is an ARC Application Required?

The Architectural Review Committee (ARC) requires that everyone doing any work outside their house must submit an ARC application for review and approval before a project is started.

This includes any work that can be seen from the street, golf course, or by adjacent neighbors, as well as any work done in the lanai. And, the requirement pertains to work done by contractors, a handyman, or by the property owner or occupant.

Failure to submit an application and receive ARC approval could result in fines or other sanctions.

Each project requires a separate application. Combining projects on a single application, for example, cage modification and landscaping, requires two applications.

Before you proceed, please contact ARC with questions by sending an email to the ARC chairperson at jandon713@gmail.com.

This laugh-a-minute comedy follows four Southern women who are drawn together by fate. They turn weekly happy hours into a mission to renew the enthusiasm for life they’ve lost through the years. Their raucous humor and collective strengths see them through unexpected challenges and to their surprise; they realize it’s never too late to make lifelong friends.

This article is the first of a series of articles about where to find information about Heritage Palms. This article is intended to clarify the differences between the Heritage Palm’s website, www.hpgcc.com, and the Heritage Palms app, which is available for both iPhone and Android devices.

In today’s digital age, many organizations offer a comprehensive website as well as a streamlined app to make things more convenient for users. But how do these two platforms compare in terms of functionality, ease of use, and overall convenience? In this article, we’ll explore our website, www.hpgcc.com , alongside its simplified app, by highlighting their key differences. Whether you’re a tech enthusiast, or just looking to simplify your online experience, read on to see how these two options stack up.

HERITAGE PALMS WEBSITE: DESIGNED FOR FLEXIBILITY

Our website, www.hpgcc.com, offers a single, comprehensive place to find information about Heritage Palms. Once you’re logged into the member site, you will find information specific to HP members.

The Heritage Palms website is a device-responsive site, which means the site adjusts its page size and layout based on the screen size you’re using to access it. Whether you’re on a phone, tablet, or desktop computer, the website automatically resizes the display and reformats the navigation to best suit your device. For example, if you're using a mobile

phone or tablet, you might notice that the navigation bar is no longer across the top of the screen. Instead, you’ll see three stacked lines in the top left corner.

Having trouble finding something? Don’t worry—just check out the sitemap under the "My Club" section. It’s like a cheat sheet to navigate the website quickly.

HERITAGE PALMS APP: A HANDY TOOL ON THE GO

In addition to our website, we also have a Heritage Palms app which is available for both iPhone and Android devices. It’s not meant to completely replace the need to access the website. The HP app is meant to give you convenient access to some of the

more popular features of our website, like looking up fellow members in the Directory, making dining or event reservations, registering to attend a fitness class, accessing the Chelsea System, or checking your account statements—right from your mobile phone.

You can find the Heritage Palms app by searching for "Heritage Palms Golf and Country Club" or "HPGCC" in the App Store or Google Play Store. The app’s icon features a white background with a green palm frond.

CONCLUSION: WHICH IS RIGHT FOR YOU?

Both the HP website and the HP app are both valuable tools that offer different advantages depending on your needs. The website is ideal for in-depth access to a wide variety of information, while the app is a great solution for quick, on-the-go popular tasks.

Ultimately, both platforms are designed to make your experience easier and more accessible. Whether you're using our website or the app, you’ll have the tools you need to stay connected with Heritage Palms wherever you are.

And We Are Off!

The long awaited Pickleball Expansion Project was approved by the city and Ritzman, the contractors for the project, wasted no time getting started, even working on Christmas Eve.

The project started with the clearing of vegetation at the site of the new tennis court. Once this area is cleared, the plan is to work on the new tennis court and four pickleball courts simultaneously. The expected date of completion being five to six months.

While the timing of the construction is not ideal, everyone is working together to limit the inconvenience. Chad Dyer, HP’s new Tennis/Pickleball/ Bocce Director, is working to reschedule the Tennis League matches for the second time so that League Play may continue. The Pickleball community will be using a 10-minute timing schedule to help with the crowds during daily drop in at the two courts we have to help with pace of play.

We want to thank the Pickleball Expansion Over-Sight Group including Mary Barter; Lou Bottitta; David Ginter; and Ron Assise, Board Vice President and Liaison; and Chad Dyer. They will be monitoring the progress of the project and make certain that the end result matches up with the initial plan.

As always, we’ll see you on the new courts soon!

HPCO Leadership Change and Annual Report Issued

CHARITABLE EVENTS ON THE HORIZON

The Heritage Palms Charitable Organization Inc. (HPCO) held its Annual Meeting in December and elected new Directors for the 2025-26 term. Anthony Plevniak, past President, nominated Barbara Gregg and Allan Potechin to serve as Directors, and both nominations were met with unanimous approval. Allan also assumes the reins as President and will be leading HPCO into its 3rd year of helping employees. Additionally, Andrea Stern announced that she would not seek reelection as a Director, but would continue as an HPCO volunteer. The meeting concluded with the nomination of Mary Stippich to fill another Director role, a motion that also passed smoothly, ensuring strong leadership for the upcoming term.

Shortly after the meeting, Allan completed the HPCO annual report: ”From the inception of the HPCO through 2024, we have received significant donations from HP members either directly or through our two main fundraising events. From these donations we were able to allocate nearly $90,000 to HP employees to address their extraordinary needs, consistent with our charter. Fundraising expenses have been minimal.”

Our financial statements and the entire annual report can be reviewed on our website: www. hpcononprofit.org .

Two important events occur in early 2025. Our third annual dinner dance, A Night at the Disco, was held on January 25. Last year’s event was memorable with the spirit of Paris filling the air,

LNHGA News

“Tis the season to be jolly,” so the saying goes. That was very evident in our 9 and 18 holer Christmas Scramble held December 4. Snowman center pieces and Christmas attire made it very colorful. Santas hit “mile” long drives to help the players on select par 5’s.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas/Holiday and New Years. We welcome back all those who decided the warm weather was far better than the cold chills, all that clothing, and snow.

The New Year kicked off with our January 8 luncheon, welcoming back our snow birds. Beehive centerpieces, yellow tablecloths, and black napkins featured the honey themed luncheon “Bee” the Ball.

A Fun Night was held on January 20, with a Western theme. Line dancing and Western-themed games were enjoyed. Members dressed up in their “Cowgirl” attire to get in the mood.

There’s still time to join the 9-hole league and enjoy the activities and players. Contact the Pro Shop and you can member charge your $50. If you’re fairly new to golf and need our League information and rules, please contact Paula Hyre.

Mark your calendars for these coming events:

• February 12: A Charity event luncheon

• February 17: A Fun Night

• February 26 and March 5: Individual Championships

• March 12: A meeting/luncheon

• March 31: End of Season Celebration

• April 9: End of Season meeting/luncheon

• April 30: Final League Play of the season

WGA News

Our season is in full-swing, with plans in place for a successful 2025 season. Watch for the sign-up for our traditional Challenge Classic tournament. Our theme is “The Wonderland Open,” which takes inspiration from Lewis Carroll’s whimsical tales of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Barbara Caporaso and Betti Bocchino and their committee have lots of fun things in store for us. Although this is an opportunity to pick your own team, you can also sign up individually and be placed on a team. Costumes always add to the fun, but they are optional. A Save the Date flyer was sent January 29; registration begins February 5. A reminder email will be sent February 12. The Wonderland Open is February 19.

When Kathy Labrie agreed to chair the January Fun Event, held Monday, January 27, she was delighted to find she already had a committee of

members ready to make this a memorable gathering. They hit a home run. The theme was It’s a Jungle in Here. Participants were given a ticket to go on a safari: Fishing for Tigerfish, Pin the Animal in the Jungle, Catch a Giraffe, and Feed the Hungry Lion. We ate Croc Eyes, Meerkat Munchies, Cheeta Teeth, Chimp Toes, and Elephant Ears. We jived to the beat of the DJ, as we took photos showcasing the jungle décor. Best of all, the committee made many new friends, bonded by the creation of a truly terrific event.

Important news: The Charity Event has been moved to March 26. This is also an opportunity to choose your own team. Lynne Gerstner is the chair for this event. Contact Lynne if you’d like to volunteer. lynne.vandy@ gmail.com, 574-850-1661.

Our closing Cocktail Party, Awards Ceremony and Elections is April 7. We’ll be looking for volunteers to fill the positions of Vice-President, Secretary, Assistant Treasurer, and Assistant Tournament Director. If interested in the VP position, it’s helpful if you have experience on our event committees.

Please let Lori Swanell, our Sunshine Chair, know when one of our members has experienced a loss, a serious illness or injury, or anything else that might warrant some support. Lori’s contact information is jwswanell@gmail. com or 812-508-4063.

Should you need a League name tag, contact Kitty Jedd at kitty324@gmail.com or fill out a form in the Pro Shop.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

MGA News

Well, it’s crazy how fast time is flying by. February is here already, and the MGA season is in “full swing.” We had a successful welcome back happy hour on January 7. The picka-partner event filled up in 30 minutes. Look for emails from the Pro Shop for future events. We have 560 members as of January 1: 231 gold players, 181 white, and 148 silver.

The first round of match play is February 6, and will continue (should you win) on the 13th, 20th, and the 27th (the finals). Good luck to all who participate. There will be alternate events for those not in match play. We’ll have the third of our Harry Chapin fundraising events on February 27. Once again, HP’s MGA displays remarkable generosity in supporting this great cause.

We’re asking all members to enter your score on Golf Genius hole-by-hole on MGA days. By all teams entering their scores, is not only fun to see how your team is during the round, it also makes scoring the event by the Pro Shop much easier. Thank you in advanced for your participation.

Have a great February, and remember to repair ball marks, and fill your divots.

Golf League this Season

If you’re looking to enjoy nine holes of golf with the camaraderie of friends, then this league is just for you.

Play is from the gold tees and keeping score is optional. It’s serious play, but focused on having fun. Tee times are each Monday and Wednesday around 1 p.m. Foursomes are paired through an algorithm providing a different mix of players on each play day.

The late Ed Eddy established this league in 2014. If you have an interest in being part of the camaraderie this league offers, then just send an email to our League Coordinator, Art Genutis at artgenutis@gmail.com.

Do You Know the Rules?

A player deliberately touches his/her ball in play. The ball does not move. Does this player receive a penalty? Yes.

RULE 9.4B/1 – BALL DELIBERATELY TOUCHED BUT NOT MOVED RESULTS IN PENALTY TO PLAYER

When the ball in play is deliberately touched by the player, even if it does not move, the player gets one penalty stroke under Rule 9.4.

Here are four examples when a player would receive one penalty stroke if they:

• Without first marking the ball’s spot, rotate the ball on the putting green to line up the trademark with the hole, even if the ball remains on the same spot. If the player marked the spot of the ball before touching or rotating it, there would have been no penalty.

• Without first marking the ball’s spot, rotate the ball anywhere on the course to identify it, and the ball is the player’s ball.

• Deliberately touch the ball with a club in preparing to make a stroke.

• Hold the ball steady with their hand, or position a pinecone or stick against the ball to prevent the ball from moving while they remove some loose impediments, or brush something off the ball.

Here is this month’s golf etiquette tip: When you are filling a divot with sand, ONLY fill the divot to ground level. Over filling a divot is as much a problem as not filling it at all. It is recommended to step on the sand-filled divot to make it level to the ground.

From The Pro Shop

Hello from the Golf Shop. The 2025 season is in full swing, and our courses are full from sun up to sun down. Our superintendent, Greg Kriesch, and his staff have provided us with great playing conditions again this season. Let’s remember to all do our part to keep them that way. If everyone remains diligent about taking care of the courses, we can continue to enjoy these conditions.

The Pickle Ball/Tennis project is well under way, and I want everyone to be cautious when driving club carts and their own private carts through the construction areas. Obviously, the private cart parking area has been impacted by this project, so we ask everyone to be patient as we look at other areas for additional private cart parking in the future.

IMPORTANT DATES

Every season seems to fly by fast, so I want to remind everyone of a few of the remaining Major Club Event dates:

• Men’s and Ladies’ Member/Member: March 15 and 16

• Homeowners Tent Party Scramble: March 28 and 29, with the party scheduled on the 29th.

• Men’s and Ladies’ Club Championship/Presidents Cup: April 5 and 6

Sign up and event information for the above events will be emailed out via Golf Genius.

DON’T FORGET

Also mark your calendars for the following scheduled Demo Days:

• February 4: Taylor Made

• February 11: Calloway

• March 4: Ping

Lastly, let’s keep a good pace of play on our minds for the remainder of the season.

Considering we play 500-600 rounds daily; it only takes a few slow groups to impact the pace for everyone else. No matter the caliber of your game, even poor golf can be played quickly. If you are playing on a fully-booked

• April 1: Taylor Made

• April 4: Calloway.

day, and you lose sight of the group ahead of you, your group is behind. Focus on always keeping pace with the group ahead of you and you’ll never be singled out for slow play.

As always, please let us know if there’s anything we can do to make your golf experience at HP more enjoyable.

Adopt-A-Classroom Update

In mid-December, Carol Borloff and I met with Ms. Green, the teacher for the Ray V. Pottorf Elementary School kindergarten class with which we were matched. The energetic teacher joyfully showed us around her classroom, and then we sat down to map out the projects that our book club/golf group can take on to assist her and her students. The first component will be to volunteer in the classroom for those of us who feel comfortable doing so.

I am in the process of being cleared to be a “classroom assistant.” Once cleared, I plan to volunteer about 1 1/2 hours weekly to assist with Language Arts activities which will be fully designed and set up by Ms. Green.

The second portion of our “adoption” project will be to host a Valentine’s Day party for the kindergarten classroom, including decorations, games, food, and a craft activity.

Finally, our third component will be to fund some of Ms. Green’s Amazon wish list. This list of items will serve as special activities for students who are adequately completing their work and behaving appropriately in the classroom. One example is

a 4-foot Jenga set for the students to use when earned. Our group and Ms. Green are quite excited to get started with our collaboration! Stay tuned for next month’s update.

If you are in a group/club/neighborhood association, etc. that would like to get matched with a classroom in the Ray V. Pottorf Elementary School, please get in touch with me at apstern123@ gmail.com or 610-220-2856.

The HP Book Club will meet on Friday, February 21, at 2:30 p.m. in the Activity Center to discuss The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store by James McBride. The story involves a skeleton, found in an old well in 1972, that unravels the hidden secrets of Chicken Hill, a Pennsylvania neighborhood in the 1920s and 30s, where Jewish, black, and immigrant folks made their homes. It’s a community of people bonded together by the links of love and duty, and it’s here that McBride’s tale truly begins. One reviewer described the book as “charming, smart, heart-blistering and hearthealing.” Doris Orff will lead the discussion.

Club meetings are open to all residents who read the book. If you wish to be added to the HP Book Club mailing list, please email me.

NANCY BOUTHILETTE

NANCYBOU49@GMAIL.COM

On December 11, the jolly owners from Villas 1 @ Pineview celebrated the holidays with our annual Christmas get together. A game called “Who’s Who in Our Hood” had participants guessing which owner fit one of 52 clues. The closest correct answers totaled 40; the best part was getting to know one another even more than ever.

The gift exchange was exciting, as each of us selected a gift to keep or exchange for one already chosen by a neighbor. The gifts were either naughty or nice, which caused great laughter as the game progressed.

artificially enhanced, but that’s not the case! The gardens are full of natural plants with gorgeous lighting. It’s really worth visiting!

Christmas Fundraiser and HP Tennis Party

Every year, Connie Rosellini opens her heart and her home to the tennis community and hosts a holiday party. It’s also a fundraiser for needy children in Ft. Myers. Gifts are donated, and then collected from under Connie’s tree, and dropped off for distribution to local children who are grateful for the generosity of our HP members. There is food, drinks, and holiday cheer provided by the Rosellini Family in their beautifully decorated home. It’s full of the Christmas spirit!
