SEA Foundation (SEA) is een privaat, non-profit, kunstenaarsinitiatief dat evenementen, residenties, tentoonstellingen en aan de beeldende kunst gerelateerde evenementen organiseert en coĂśrdineert. SEA ondersteunt en maakt ruimte voor productie, presentatie en onderzoek. Er is een residentie programma en een presententatie ruimte.

In alle activiteiten van de organisatie is beeldende kunst het vertrekpunt. Worden verbanden gelegd, de grenzen afgetast en verbintenissen gesmeed. In de verschillende disciplines van hedendaagse cultuur plaatst SEA altijd de context en het idee voor het medium. SEA ontplooit wereldwijd activiteiten en genereert discussie. Door het blootleggen van culturele processen of hierin te interveniĂŤren vraagt SEA aandacht voor processen die zich richten op de huidige (nieuwe) sociale, politieke en ecologische kwesties. Door deel te nemen aan deze processen werkt SEA van binnen uit om ze productiever, zichtbaarder en meer solide te maken.

Transgressing the boundaries between cultures and disciplines, SEA Foundation always puts context and the idea before the medium. By working in different cultural contexts worldwide, the foundation generates discussion by exposing and intervening within, as well as being part of, cultural processes that concentrate on current (emerging) social, political and ecological issues. SEA supports these processes in becoming more productive, visible and solid.
