Fiscal Year 2020-2021
I M PA C T O F P H I L A N T H R O P Y We’re extremely proud of the national reputation for excellence in teaching, research and service our college has built. We’re in a strong position, but we have more work to do. I believe our focus on advancing diversity, equity, inclusion and social justice in the education field will continue to enhance our leadership position in the coming years.
I teach future teachers and model for them the practices I hope they adopt as educators. I emphasize culturally relevant and sustaining teaching practices and critical pedagogies. I encourage discussion and student inquiry. Working with future teachers has been rewarding and invigorating, and I cherish that component of my work.
