Two of UMC’s best showings this season came in their exhibitions against NCAA Division I opponents. The Golden Eagles held close to University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for much of the game before falling 75-54 and then nearly upset North Dakota State 64-63. Between the two games, UMC shot 35.9 percent from the field and an amazing 50 percent from beyond the arc, averaging 10 three-pointers a game between the two games. In their five games that have counted, UMC is shooting 35.4 percent from the field but just 23.7 percent from three. They are averaging just 4.4 treys per game in the five regular-season games.
