Oh, the wondrous joys of living with the belief that God has designed our bodies for wellness… of knowing it’s true. And, that He has given us plants to support His creative design!
Yes, you can believe it! Not only does the Bible declare it in Genesis 1:29-30, medical and nutritional science both confirm it. I love Psalm 139:14 that says we are “fearfully and wonderfully made” — designed for purpose, with wellness to support it.
This is my prayer for you… That you would experience and live out God’s desire and design for you to experience greater wellness."
Now, let’s get practical about that, so we can live it out in our own lives. We know that the more fruits and vegetables we eat, the healthier we will be. The longer lives we will live. Why? Because God created these foods to support the design of our bodies’ cells, systems and organs — built to keep us healthy and well.
I have always believed that Nopalea is a gift from God. As I sat there under the stars deep in the Sonoran Desert, I was in awe of what I sensed… I felt God speaking to me, telling me there was a plant out there in the desert that He had created that would bring health and healing to many. That it would grow prolifically and be sustainable to harvest. It was a most strange experience, but I knew that I knew!
I truly believed that I would discover that plant, which we now know is the opuntia ficus-indica the nopal cactus used in our Nopalea product. We also now know that thousands of people have experienced less dicomfort from free radical damage, and have had a greater wellness experience, with Nopalea.
I also believe you come into a spiritual agreement that invites healing and health when you read the prayer card as you take Nopalea.
What I did not know that night under the Sonoran stars is that leading health organizations all
over the world would come to know that chronic inflammation caused by free radicals is the greatest health risk to all of humanity. Author and cardiologist William Davis, M.D. states, “people are boiling pots of inflammation: hot, steaming, churning cauldrons of disordered, chaotic inflammatory responses, much of them due to food choices that perform poorly to human dietary needs.”
In his best-selling Wheat Belly books, Davis also challenges one of the biggest lies ever told: that we should eat a low fat and high carbohydrate diet. I saw my mother embrace that lie as gospel, and then watched as dementia brought her life to a sad end.

Omega-3 fatty acids are an essential part of a healthy diet. They help our bodies fight inflammation and keep us healthy at a cellular level. You can find omega-3s in fish oil, flaxseed and walnuts. Like many, you may not eat enough foods rich in healthy omega-3 fatty acids. When this happens, the body can't create special antiinflammatory molecules derived from omega-3 fatty acids that work hard to reduce swelling and pain in our tissues.
In addition to fighting inflammation, omega-3s lower the levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines, which trigger and sustain inflammation. This action helps decrease overall inflammation throughout the body. Omega-3s also improve the structure of our cell membranes by making them more flexible. A flexible cell membrane helps receptors and signaling pathways work better, which is essential for healthy inflammation.
Research shows that consuming more omega-3 fatty acids may lower the risk of chronic conditions.
