Entry Requirements You will need to meet our standard entry requirements. There are no other course specific entry requirements. What will I study? The Level 2 Business and Travel Employability Skills Course will prepare students will prepare students for employment or further study in the relevant industry. What can I do after this course? Some students progress into a higher level of study at the college (we have L3 Business and Travel & Tourism Courses available), some onto Apprenticeships and others go straight into employment in their chosen field.

Entry Requirements You will need at least GCSE Maths grade B or 6. What will I study? On this course you will study key theoretical concepts, such as supply and demand, competition and monopoly, and government policy. You will discover the answer to questions such as: Why does the price of petrol keep rising? Why is education free in the UK? Do all nations benefit from free trade and globalisation? The main thing is to have some interest in the world around you - in politics, current affairs, the environment, etc. Economics can be applied to most situations in life. What can I do after this course? This can then lead to a variety of university courses and careers. It can provide an insight into decision making in a variety of occupations, including law, town planning, business management and marketing, as well as conservation and environmental management.

The Level 1 Professional Studies Programme will prepare students for transition into employment or further study in their chosen field. All students will complete units on teamwork, improving own learning and performance and a community project. Students can then choose from the following subject specialism options: Business and Travel: Customer Service in Retail, The Travel Industry, Worldwide Tourism Destinations, UK Tourism Destinations; Health and Social Care: Introduction to HSC, Child Development, Craft Activities; Sport and Public Services: Taking part in leisure activities, Taking part in sport, Planning a fitness programme. What can I do after this course? Some students progress into a higher level of study at the college (we have L2 professional studies courses available) and some onto Apprenticeships.
