Snorkeling from the beach at Havelock

The coastal lines around Havelock are filled with coral reefs. But there are only a few reefs that are safe, easy-going, and blessed with colorful coral reefs and schools of fish. Nemo reef, Elephant beach, Neil’ Cove, and Turtle beach are the best ones out of them.

Nemo reef The reef is very easy to access, and it resides at beach number two opposite Helipad ground. The reef here starts fifty meters away from the beach and has a minimum depth of two meters. One small school of parrotfish is always there at the shallower part of the reef. You can spot a couple of Sea Anemones with Clownfish, long-tail bannerfish, Angelfish, and Rabbitfish at the intermediate part, where the depth is six meters. There is a school of orange snappers, Dogtooth Snappers, and Niddlefish at the deepest part, where the depth is eleven meters. It is a nice and easy site for snorkeling in Havelock.

Elephant beach This beach is famous for full-grown Staghorn corals and Sergent-major fish. One can either hire a speed boat from Havelock jetty or trek through the jungle path to reach Elephant beach. Ten years ago, the reef was home to countless colorful soft corals. But due to the increasing temperature of the water, the soft corals are no more there. You can spot thousands of colorful fish while snorkeling at the Elephant beach.

Neil’ Cove This magical place is the right-hand side corner of the famous beach called The Radha Nagar beach. The coral reef is just beneath the surface of the lagoon at Neil’ Cove. Lobster, Octopus, Durban dancing shrimps, Stingrays, Eagle rays, and white tip reef sharks are 2/3

commonly spotted there. Besides snorkeling, one can spend a whole day chilling at the lagoon with their loved ones. Don’t forget to take suncream to avoid sunburn.

Apart from these snorkeling sites, Those are assessable from the beach. There are many more sites and can be assessed from our boats. We offer two packages for a snorkeling trip with our boat.

2. Sunset cruise and snorkeling at two spots.

The first one is a six hours trip around the neighboring islands of Havelock with one stop at Nicolson Island for a beach lunch. Snorkeling in Andaman price is reasonable and cheaper than anywhere else. We charge 6000 INR for this trip, and the snorkeling trip starts at 11 am and ends with sunset. That includes quality snorkeling gear, a Specially packed lunch, fruits-snacks, mineral water bottles, snorkeling at three sites, and quality time with humble people around.

The second one offers snorkeling at two different sites with light snacks, fruits, quality snorkeling gear, and mineral water bottles at 3500 INR per person. After the snorkeling, you can sit and relax on board while watching the sunset. The trip starts at 2 pm and ends with sunset.
