Scuba diving in Havelock is a thrilling yet breathtaking underwater sport and lets you experience a much-hidden reality beneath the sea surface. Havelock Island offers a number of splendid dive sites full of marine life to have an unforgettable experience ever.

The dive sites of Havelock are the home of multiple species of marine animals such as Royal angelfish, red toothed tigerfish, schooling bannerfish, blue starfish, clown surgeonfish, and many more.

The dive sites of Havelock are scattered around the Island and easily accessible for anyone via a speed boat. These are divided into two parts, one for time scuba diving experience and the second for scuba diver courses.

Scuba diving in Andaman

Tribe Gate: It is the best dive site in Havelock and is popular for boat dives. It is located 2 kilometers away from the Govind Nagar beach number 3. It has a maximum depth of 14 meters and is known for large schools of fish. The marine life of Tribe Gate is very diverse and the home of multiple species of sea animals.

Juvis dive site: Juvis is just 500 meters away from the Tribe gate dive site and is popular for its multiple species of coral reefs with crystal clear waters. The dive site is recommended for boat dives with a maximum depth of 12 meters. Rare marine animals are witnessed in the numerous coral reefs scattered around the dive site.

Nemo Reef: The dive site is located just a few meters away from the Nemo beach. Nemo Reef is recommended for shore dives and has a maximum depth of 10 meters. The site is popular for Nemo fishes which are available in sufficient amounts and live in the soft coral reefs of Nemo Reef.

Price for scuba diving in Havelock Shore dive: The price for scuba shore dive is INR 3500 per person. The package includes 30 minutes of basic training, 25 minutes of underwater dive, 1 underwater video of 2 minutes each, and 20 photos. The maximum dive depth limit is 7 meters only for beginners.

Boat Dive: The price for scuba diving off the boat is INR 5500 per person. It includes 30 minutes of basic training, 45-50 minutes of underwater dive, 2 videos, 1-minute backflip video from the boat, and 3 minutes of underwater video. The maximum dive depth will fluctuate between 10 to 12 meters.

Note: Pick and drop is also included in the package if you are staying between Havelock Jetty and Govind Nagar beach number 5. The dive time for scuba diving in Havelock will depend on weather conditions, water current, and the comfort level of the divers.

Prerequisite training program for one-time scuba divers Proper training is a must for anyone to explore marine life into the depth of water. The scuba diving eligibility criteria for a person are a minimum of 12 years and a maximum of 50 years. People beyond the mentioned age limit are not considered fit for diving.

A person who has been suffering or has suffered from the following health issues is not eligible for underwater diving.

A person is suffering or recently suffered from breathing issues, diabetes, asthma, high blood pressure, and taking medications to control them.

Recent surgery of any part of the body.

Ear infection, ear surgery, eardrums, and hole in the ear.

A person with adverse eyesight.
